Robust and very, very useful
I Hate... absolutely hate, grouting. Some of the tiles we'd fitted needed a 7mm grout gap. Used the pointing tip. Absolute skoosh. Used the grouting tip for the 3mm gap tiles. Skoosher. Remember to just make up enough for one batch and away you go. The mixer blade is great too. Make sure you mix the grout well as any lumps will clog up the tip. A minute or 2 mixing on slow speed with the included mixer blade does the trick. A wee bit of water around the end of the tube and the rubber plunger before you start squeezing in the rod helps too. Put a wee bit of tape over and around the tip too, as you're starting, to push the plunger in an keep your finger on it to let any trapped air out the plunger end..... make sure its not squeezed too tight or you'll never get it back out. Once the airs out... away you go. Remember to press the thumb release after you've finished to limit the overspill from your last squeeze of the trigger. Great tool.

Excellent
Great bit of kit. Used it on a large patio to grout porcelain slabs. Saved a lot of mess. You can adjust the rubber ring to close the seal tighter. Only thing missing is a small cap of some sort to put onthe nozzle while filling to stop anything running out.

Top quality product
Having already used this same make of pointing gun, and found it to be excellent, I had no hesitation to replace it with the same make. The original one just wore out. I use pointing guns on a regular basis, and this one is excellent - you just have to make sure you get the mix of cement consistency correct. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Excellent
A robust piece of equipment that worked great. What I liked especially was the ability to replace the supplied barrel with standard rainwater downpipe; indeed, I found that standard downpipe gave a better fit than the supplied barrel, resulting in less/no seepage past the 'plunger', which was a crticism made by another reviewer. The consistency of the mix is important, however, I found no problem in achieving this by mixing by hand and did not have to use the drill attached whisking tool.

Worth paying the little extra
Used this to point up a patio,Trimmed the black nozzle down a bit and knocked the muck up wet,Just rinse out every 4-5 fills as they do clog up after a while but makes the job a lot easier

Doesn't work.
This item just leaks cement water all over you when you apply pressure. Save yourself the aggravation and money - learn to use a trowel.

Doesn't last long on site.
Used for pointing. Doesn't last that long if used constantly

Fantastic!
I have been internally pointing large areas of my stone house using the traditional pointing trowel method using a lime mix (lime putty and sharp sand) and it takes ages so thought i would invest in a gun...recommended this make by someone in the trade! Great buy, make the mix to a creamy buttery texture and off you go, squirt, squirt, squirt! I think it is also a better method as you fill from the back forward so it gets in everywhere its supposed to...let the mix go off a few hours then just level with a trowell and brush! Job done!!
