This tool worked exceptionally well along the edge of a row of tomato plants where the grass was getting too close to the plants. I used the sharp edge to cut into the grass’s root system and pulled the grass back with the handle. It is a sharp tool, though, so be aware.

I have to say that this tool impressed me. When I received it, this tool seemed very rustic. As soon as I started using it, the experience has been excellent. It is simple but totally serves the purpose. Easy to use, light and very practical.

This thing slashes weeds like mad, cutting down at ans below the root. The knife maker in me couldn't help notice the flaw where the blade was bent, looks like they possibly shaped it when the metal wasn't hot enough. It's not huge, but hopefully it holds up. Beyond that, as a lefty I quickly realized it is designed for right-handed use, but with a bit of getting used to, it can be used left-handed.

If I could leave negative stars, I would!! How the seller, or Amazon could let this particular item be sent to a customer is beyond me. Where the shaft of this is welded to the handle, there was a piece of metal that stuck out and was SHARP!! It was sent in just an envelope that had a tear it it…when I reached into the envelope to pull it out is when I discovered the sharp part on the handle. This thing looked like it was literally put together and welded together in someone’s basement…DO NOT BUY!! HORRIBLE AND DANGEROUS!!!

Really does work, ideal for removing weeds from planters/lawn, makes the job so much easier. Fairly sturdy, but crudely made.

Hoes designed for masonry cost three times as much and are prone to break and rust. This flat tang design allows for easy handle replacement should the wood break or wear out. The load is distributed along the diameter of the handle and reinforced by the ferrule. It's stainless steel and won't rust like high carbon steel. Simple, strong and inexpensive.

This thing is awesome!! Especially for shallow rooted or clumping weeds. I originally bought the smaller version with only 4 teeth. Once I realized how well it worked I wished there was a wider one. Viola, here it is! Wish there was a longer handled stand up version like a hoe or cultivator. My father can't bend to pull weeds so he needs something he can stay upright to use. Great product!!
