Accurate
I tried on a 9.5+ alkaline water and the result is correct. Maybe next time i’ll continue my cherry tomato hydroponics. Since this device had TDS & Ph capabilities.

DON'T WASTE THE MONEY
This product worked great for about 3 and a half weeks. After that it went completely inaccurate... like WAY off. When I realized it wasn't reading correctly, I replaced the batteries and re-calibrated it. No change. I was shooting for about 6.3 pH, and found this thing reads 6.3 when pH is actually off the scales basic.. like 10+. Needless to say, this caused some very big and rather expensive problems for me. It worked just long enough for the return window to close, so I ended up buying this one only to throw it away and buy a good one. You should just buy a good one first and skip the headache.

Worked While It Lasted
Received item a few weeks ago.... Worked fine up until today I noticed crazy readings and upon inspection saw that the little glass probe was broken, thing is I honestly have no idea how it happened, I'm no newbie to gadgets and I'm the sole handler, there was absolutely no mishandling for the very few times I used it.I'm stumped with this one... Have to rate one star based on my usage and knowing that I did not mishandle it.

Broke right away
I bought this three months ago. I use it for my business, it already broke. My last one that appears to be identical last three years. We have tried multiple times to calibrate it and it is not working on the more acidic values. I'm extremely disappointed.

Doesn't seem to be accurate
To test my water before putting it on my plants, I purchased this pH meter. After calibrating I decided to test with my tap water, which comes from the city and is of very high quality. This meter measured it at around 9, which seems very hard for city water. I don't think of my water as hard at all as I have never needed a water softener. I then purchased some spring water from the store and tested with that. It also read higher than I expected - around 8.6. Again that seems awfully hard for spring water, no?

Instructions are useless.
I compare with a side by side chemical test for pool water. Not even close “calibrated” by the factory.

Inconsistent readings and can’t calibrate
I can’t seem to calibrate the device and even in the ph 7 reference solution, I get different reading each time I test. Each reading varies by a lot, 7.8 first dip, 7.2 second with no changes to the water. It does seem to measure temperature correctly. I didn’t test ppm since oh was so bad. Why bother.I wasted my money.
