Good quality
Purchased it because I lost the baseplate of my rig, but this specific plate did not work as it's made for a the RS4 gimbal. However, the quality is good and the material is sturdy... It would have been useful only if it worked with my tripod.

Light but mind the edges
Tried this plate onto two different tripods with Arca-Swiss compatible heads on them and it fitted perfectly - clamped up tight with no problems. Be aware there is no provision beneath this for the optional anti-slide screws. (Cap head bolts either end of the plate which drop into notches on the tripod head. So when the clamp is loosened the plate can't slide out sideways) Noticeable point is the lightness, this 45mm long plate weighs 22g, because of the narrower top (28mm) and completely hollow base behind the tapered skirt. For comparison I checked it against a conventional 40mm long plate which is 38mm front to back and that weighs 31g. When screwed to the bottom of a DSLR it fits on tightly and resists twisting thanks to the good rubber pads in the top. Using the camera I found a caution point; there is a cutout in the base at either end beneath the plate and while there are no burrs the corner radii are small. So handling the camera these edges and corners are not as comfy when fingers catch them as a conventional plate with rounded corners and no cutouts. May not bother some people and if keeping weight down the mass saved with this will be worthwhile.

A solid well priced plate
This is a super useful lightweight Arca Swiss plate with a 1/4” D-Ring screw. The latter detail is important because it avoids needing a separate tool to tighten or loosen the plate. Yes, it can be used on a gimbal as described, but also fit on a compatible tripod Arca Swiss ballhead. This has been particularly useful in my case to replace a very slim plate that came with a Leofoto head lacking a D-Ring. Now I no longer have to mess around looking for a tool and the plate is more substantial, so easier to handle, making this a solid upgrade at a low price. In summary, this is one of those well-made accessories that doesn’t cost a fortune. You might even want two or three if you have a range of compatible equipment and different bags.

Simple release plate, handy as a spare
This is a very simple quick-release plate that fits your standard Arca-Swiss tripods/gimbals/etc. It's quite light which is good, and it fits my tripod incredibly snuggly so there's no chance it's going to drop my camera. I have quite a light set up on a standing tripod so I've not stressed tested it (mirrorless a6400 and quite a modest-sized lens - less than 2kg easily) but I'm more than happy with it as an extra quick-release plate should I need one. Highly recommend.
