A great place to start
So, I purchased this nearly a year ago, and feel it's a good time to give a review. The RT80 was an upgrade from a cheap Akai thing I had bought just to humour myself, but once I acquired a test pressing for a favourite artist, I knew I couldn't play it on something so basic.Fluance have done well to provide a really good value product for what you are getting. It came well packaged, though I would suggest watching some of their video guides when it comes to setting up.The overall finish is great, and will look nice if it suits your aesthetic wherever you choose to have it. It looks professional, not overstated, and feels like a quality product. However, note that it is quite easy to leave fine scratches in the finish if you are dusting, especially the cover.Replacing the platter mat with a cork version gave a nice visual highlight, too.In terms of sound, I don't have much to compare it too. Obviously, what I was using before was leagues below, but the RT80 has always tracked perfectly and produced clear music.Yet, despite this, there is one caveat - actually two.1) The inbuilt pre-amp did not work properly after a short time, and would often drop channels and/or generate a tapping sound at higher volumes.2) The Fluance customer service experience was THE worst I have ever come across. This was before Corona, and the delay in getting a response was poor beyond description, and when it did arrive, it was moronic and an absolute waste of time.In relation to these points, I purchased a DJPRE II pre-amp, and this fixed the audio issues - as well as improving the sound overall.I'm still going to give the full 5-stars here, because I ultimately wanted to use an external pre-amp anyway, and customer service isn't related directly to the product. The RT80 has honestly been a great investment for me, so I would recommend if it fits your budget and style.

A Good Quality Turntable
This is a good quality turntable at a sensible price. It looks good, sounds great and is generally well made. One minor annoyance is the flimsy and poorly placed arm lift lever, which clashes with the arm securing clip.I swapped out the provided cartridge for an upgraded AT, but really there's not much wrong with the one that comes with the unit, particularly if your records (and your ears) are getting a bit old.

good relation quality price, the only upside down is the felt mat but i can upgrade it in the future as well as the stylus/cartridge.

Love it
After much researching I kept coming back to this RT80 turntable for my teenage daughter. It was a good price has a preamp and very stylish in the glossy black she absolutely loves it. Took us a while to figure out what speakers were need as we ordered wrong ones at first. The Edifier R1280DB Powered Bluetooth Bookshelf Speakers go perfect with great sound.
