Norman Rockwell: Behind The Camera

I bought this book as a present for my son who is a photographer and he loved it said it was a brilliant book

I have been looking for this book for a while. The images are brilliant and love the photographs taken to produce Norman Rockwell's artwork. Would recommend this extremely highly to anyone wanting an insight into how art is produced.

It's a really enlightening book. It shows how Rockwell posed his models ready for use in his paintings. Well worth the money.

As an artist myself I had often wondered how on earth Norman Rockwell achieved his dazzling levels of realism. After reading this book I know! Not for those who like to retain their illusions that artwork springs, fully formed, from the imagination to the canvas, but for the rest, it's a fascinating book. I would have like more illustrations, but apart from that, highly recommended.

Really happy with this very interesting book..... I saw a video review someone had posted and found that extremely helpful. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in N Rockwell, illustration and realist painting.... don't hesitate in buying this one!

just so amazing to see the photographs that inspired Rockwell's illustrations and the final outcome. It's a must-have for Rockwell fans. A good sturdy book too.
