Works fine when you understand it transmits it's own 2.4ghz WiFi - which will not be boosted by a range extender, and Eufy don't do an extender for their own 2.4ghz channel. So it needs to be placed centrally, to reach all your cameras. Use a WiFi analyser app to track signal strength, where it comes up as an unlabeled signal. It also connects to my home WiFi for using the Eufy app for setup and viewing captures. On my setup, the cameras report a weak signal when nothing's going on, but are boosted to a strong signal when active, which seems to work ok. Adding a 1Tb SSD for storage was easy.

Easy set-up, works well, has speeded up the push notifications from the doorbell, I assume by handling more of it locally, I also added a solar light/camera for a dark side path, that is also working well, just the right light to see the way without blinding you, it's been there for a very gloomy week or 2 not seeing the sun but battery stills shows full.

Very nice piece of kit, super easy to setup and the inbuilt chime is loud. The integrated 16gb of storage is more than sufficient for us (for now), the option for additional storage is a very helpful feature and futures proofs it for us. Connecting the homebase to our network was quick and easy, using a single ethernet cable into the router but it also supports wireless connections. It also has an alarm function, so if you have some eufy entry or motion sensors, you can configure it to sound an alarm (i believe the cameras can also trigger this?). Very happy with this item!

It's great and adds face recognition (works 40% of the time in my experience on the last month or so), but I was expecting a gain in speed to access the footage too and it doesn't. My mistake. It's good for the storage boost but not much more than that.

It is excellent and easy to set up. I did not get a separate hard drive for it yet but may do. Great think is that it is a standard sata drive that fits it if you want more storage.

The HomeBase 3 has been a huge improvement for my Eufy setup. Installation was quick, the app picked it up straight away, and all my cameras connected without any issues. The upgraded AI is a real step up, with much better detection accuracy and faster alerts compared to the older models. I added my own SSD inside which means I never have to worry about storage. The system runs smoothly, recordings save instantly, and everything stays local which is a big bonus. The unit itself is quiet, well built, and has a clean modern design that fits nicely on a shelf. If you already use Eufy devices this upgrade is absolutely worth it, the performance boost and smarter detection make a big difference day to day.

My Homebase 2-based security setup as been reliable, stable and useful for 3 years. I purchased most of my system in 2021. Thinking I could "upgrade" I purchased a Homebase 3. My system includes 3 x eufyCam 2 Pro wireless cameras, the wireless single-cam doorbell, the wired floodlight and some door sensors. Eufy has not designed and does not offer you an upgrade path from Homebase 2 > 3. If you are interested and motivated, you can attempt to MIGRATE your current devices... which for me didn't work. I returned the Homebase 3 after giving up. Here's some information that might be helpful for you. 1) Every device has to be manually added to the Homebase 3. When you do this, they cease to be connected to your Homebase 2, so 'downgrading' to your old system means re-adding any devices that successfully added to the HB3. 2) None of the clips or data on your Homebase2 will be transferred to your Homebase 3. 3) My door sensors were close enough that they were added without much fuss. 4) My wireless doorbell finally connected to the Homebase 3 after about 8 attempts. 5) Not one of my eufyCam 2 Pro wireless cameras would connect. To connect to a base they listen for an audio chime and somehow this gets them setup. The HB3 chime was audible to my dog, but almost too high and quiet for me to hear. The HB2 pumps out an audible chime and everything works. This also means every camera has to be near the Homebase to get set up, which is OK for me but possibly a challenge for people who've put their cameras somewhere safe/inaccessible. 6) I have a powered eufy floodlight installed up on the house and I believe I would have had to stand on a ladder holding the Homebase 3 to connect. 7) Oh, and an interior camera's inner plastics crumbled when I attempted to take it down from the ceiling where I had it mounted. (It is now useless can I have my £80 back Eufy) Don't expect any support from Eufy. This is a trial by fire DIY project that will ruin your weekend. The best choice is probably to buy a HB3 and all new cameras + accessories. Or, like me, wait for a future HB4 and replace _everything_ you have today. Hopefully by then there might be better and more upgradeable eufy competitors to consider...

Eufy Wenns funktioniert gute Lösung da ohne Cloud mit lokaler Datenspeicherung möglich, App schlecht, Zeitverzögerung bei Meldungen, Kundenservice AI schlecht. Wir haben für 3 verschiedene Wohnungen (Eltern, Büro, daheim) jeweils eine Eufy HomeBase3 mit verschiedenen Kameras/ Zusätzen gekauft. Im Büro läuft das System seit über einem Jahr, in den Wohnungen seit Jahresbeginn 2025 bzw. seit Februar 2025. Die HomeBase3 funktioniert bei uns allen 3/3 gut und zuverlässig. Mitteilungen über Bewegungen kommen sehr zeitverzögert, so dass das System nicht wie eigentlich gedacht dafür geeignet ist mit Paketbote sprechen zu können wenn man nicht zu Hause ist und es an Haustür klingelt. Wir haben jeweils externe Speicherkarte mit 1TB in HomeBase gesteckt. Die indoor Kamera s350 die 25/7 aufnehmen kann haben wir insgesamt 4x. 3/4 laufen bisher gut. Die zuletzt erst vor weniger als 2 Wochen in Betrieb genommene Kamera schaltet sich aber immer wieder offline. Man muss dann vor Ort hingehen und Kamera neu verbinden. Nervig. Diese Kamera wird deshalb zurückgeschickt. Scheint Montagsmodell zu sein, bei den anderen 3 Kameras haben wir dieses Problem nicht. Die deutlich billigere indoor Kamera s220 haben wir einmal, diese funktioniert stabil, ist jedoch deutlich hörbar wenn sie sich dreht. In Flur ok, in Wohnbereichen nicht ok. Die indoor Kamera s210 haben wir 2x. Eine ist nach unter 3 Monaten Nutzung völlig defekt- sie wird heiss wenn sie an Stromnetz angeschlossen wird. Kauf lief über Amazon, Verkäufer war Anker. Kommunikation wegen dieser Billigkamera mit Eufy war bisher unmöglich. Ca 15x habe ich alle Daten (Bestellnummer, Kaufdatum, KameraNr, Anschrift) hingeschickt bis Eufy endlich eingesehen hat dass die Kamera noch in Gewährleistungszeit ist. Noch immer ist die Kamera nicht ausgetauscht/repariert worden. Diese Erfahrung ist das grösste Manko in unserer Erfahrung mit Eufy. Beide 2/2 dieser Kameras arbeiteten unzuverlässig, Alarmmeldungen wegen angeblicher Bewegungen wo keine waren, falsche Personenerkennung (sich nicht bewegender Vorhang, an Garderobe hängende Jacke…). Wir nutzen diese Kameras nur als backup. Die Türsensoren haben wir 2x, bisher funktionieren sie zuverlässig. Batterie hält im alten System seit über einem Jahr. Die separate Sirene ist auch auf „lauter“ Einstellung nicht wirklich laut. Hier wäre mehr Power notwendig um als Aussensirene wie angegeben zu funktionieren. Hinweis: die Sirene kann man leider nicht einzeln separat anschalten, es geht nur eine Kopplung über andere Geräte. Der Wassersensor hat bisher nicht auslösen müssen, ich hoffe er wird im Fall der Fälle melden. Die Aussenlampe s100 hat uns besser gefallen als die aktuellen Lampen/Kameras für aussen. Die Kamera anzubringen ist schwierig. Kein Platz um Stromkabel dass aus Aussenwand kommt unterzubringen, wir mussten insofern erst Abstandhalter anfertigen lassen um das Stromkabel nicht direkt an Wandauslass abschneiden zu müssen. Zudem waren die Anschlüsse innen bei Auslieferung an uns 180Grad verkehrt herum montiert- Hauptsicherung flog raus- bis dies von Elektriker durch 180Grad Drehung „repariert“ wurde. Die im 4-er Set für ca 30EUR/Stück günstigsten akkubetriebenen Aussenkameras SoloCam c210funktionieren bisher alle stabil. Sie schalten die Aufnahme erst einige Sekunden verspätet ein, so dass der Moment in dem jemand Grundstück betritt nicht gefilmt und gespeichert ist, sondern meist erst wenn die Person schon an Haustür steht. Der Akku hält schon mehrere Monate, obwohl vor Haustür montiert und mehrere Auslösungen täglich. Manko - aber bei dem Preis egal - ist dass die Datenschutzzonen in denen nicht gefilmt wird nur sehr grob eingestellt werden können. Wir haben die Kameras nicht an den vorgesehenen und mitgelieferten Aufhängungen (Standard- Gewinde wie bei Foto-Stativen) angebracht. Wir wollten nicht bohren und auch nicht, dass die Kameras als nicht kabelgebundene Kameras direkt erkennbar sind. Haben jeweils passende „Häuschen“ aus 3D-Druck um die Kameras unauffälliger reinzulegen. Vgl. Fotos.
