Compression Sports Shorts

These shorts are a Godsend. I walk every day but have pathetically fragile legs, and not too long ago I was out walking and managed to strain my groin. It literally felt like somebody stabbed me in it and I hobbled home with my fist firmly jammed in the area to try and alleviate the pain. After total rest for a few days, I tried walking slowly, but it felt like my leg was going to fall off, plus, it was still very painful - that was when I started searching for something to help me and came across these shorts. I originally ordered the medium based on the sizes given, but they were way too tight, so I returned them and reordered the large. These fit much better. Don't get me wrong, they NEED to be tight to do their job, but there is a difference in tight and cutting off the circulation! Almost immediately, I could feel a difference. They just hold everything else together so well, that it allows other muscles to compensate for the injured muscle. I was able to resume walking with the help of these shorts, taking it gently, but better than not being able to walk at all. Slowly but surely, I have built myself back up, and now I won't actually walk without these shorts on! I have tried, but things still feel loose, such is the difference they make, and I would rather know everything is being held in place. The only reason I have deducted a star is because the elastic waistband could do with being thicker - it tends to fold in half when you bend. But that is a minor gripe. The upshot is, without them, I could hardly walk, and with them, I can. Oh, and they wash well too, I hand wash them and they hold very little water and dry quickly. Recommended!

Arrived in black but as they are for undergarment wear this is not a problem. Had expected this as already read a review where this had happened. I'm a 57 year old 5 a side footballer with lower back and groin pains. Waist size is between 37-38 inches. I chose the XL sizing and they fit well without being too tight. Already played in them twice and things seem to be settling down 1 week further on. Would recommend. There is a degree of waistband roll, but hey that's just my shape these days!!! I can live with that.............

This is my first review for a product on Amazon, and thought it would be useful for other people who find themselves in a similar situation to what I experienced. I recently carried a groin injury (caused by playing football) on and off for approximately 14 months. Recently I bought a pair of these shorts, and they have helped my troublesome groin to heal, to the extent that I am now back playing football 3 times a week. They are tighter fitting than other brands and provide excellent support, and don't restrict your movement.I have tried a couple of other compression shorts/groin supports, also ordered from Amazon, but in my personal experience I have found these shorts have been the most effective at helping my injury to heal and preventing it from recurring.I would recommend these shorts to anybody who has a groin problem, particularly if you play football or other similar sports involving sharp turns or stretching of your groin muscles. I haven't had any problems whatsoever since I started wearing these.

I have bought several pairs of these shorts over the years. They provide great support and a feeling of comfortable security for heavy gym sessions - especially squats and deadlifts. The waist band rolls over a bit but that's no big deal.However, with each subsequent purchase, the quality of the shorts has gone down. The first few pairs lasted several years whereas the most recent pair only lasted three months before they split. Thankfully I wear then UNDER my workout shorts!The latest incarnation of these shorts is not as well made, less compressive (if that's a word) and much less supportive. A real shame as these were my favorite bran do compression shorts. I still have one surviving old-style pair that is several years old and can compare them side by side to the new design - the material is not the same thickness.I'm sure they are fine for light workouts, cardio etc. but for heavy strength training, you may be better served by a more study product.

my son has found it useful whilst he plays football to support him where he has pulled muscles. I would have given 5 stars but despite showing a blue colour there is no way you get blue even when you request it by writing to them, also they never replied. I would suggest that they ammend this advert..

Very good product. Suffered a hamstring injury months ago, and while back running it has never been quite right. This product makes sure everything feels tight and compact, and I feel I can push on a bit more with confidence. The only problem really is that you'll probably need at least another pair while this one is in wash/drying. The product is very tight fitting, at least the size I got, but this is a good thing, although I would imagine in really warm weather it could lead to over heating. Very happy with it, and I probably will be getting a second pair.

Very useful to help heal and support an injury but also to prevent more. Clingy which they have to be, do make you sweat and itch a bit but worth the slight discomfort to support groin and quads. Was able to continue playing with an injury when wearing them and havent had an injury since. Definitely worth wearing.

First of all - these shorts do make a difference. I've been carrying a groin injury which flares up when I run. Since using these shorts I have not had any pain from it. My only gripe is the fit. The shorts have a tendancey to slip down and you find yourself constantly pulling them up. For the price though they do a good job at supporting your hips/legs
