Took a couple tries.
Like the title says, it took me a couple tries before I got it perfectly. I’ve never been good at eyeliner so I’ve always asked and need to learn to do it myself. This makes it so much easier to use and I would seriously recommend this others.

Works great

Love this idea but...
These are flat so they don't really work well. They need to be curved.

Could Be Helpful; More of a Dollar Store Kind of Product
For 35 years, I had no problem applying eye liner. Zip-zip, top lid, bottom lid, nice fine line and done. Now, I'm farsighted, and it's hard to gauge where my eyelashes and eyelids meet to can get a fine, precise line. I frequently swoop too high or low, and make the line too thick. It's maddening.I tried this eyeliner guide, and I think I might be able to get it to work. Now, at the beginning, I was able to get the line fairly close to the edge of the lids, under the bottom lashes, at the lid-line on top. And the line was straight. But I have to admit that a lot of liner ended up on the silicone piece. But I think with some practice, it could be handy.I positioned the piece the way the photos in the Amazon ad suggests, but that curve line wasn't going to work. But a different curves on the piece fit well in the area I was working with, so I suggest experimenting to find what guideline works for your eye shape.I've always used a liquid liner that I apply with a brush, but I suspect that this guide might be more helpful with an eyeliner pen, because the rigid tip will be work better with the precise "stencil".I have no problem applying lipstick or eye shadow, so I haven't bothered with those guides. So I think that this can be helpful. And I suppose $9 isn't too out-of-line for 4 pieces, especially with shipping included. However, I don't know that $9 is really worth it for a set, considering that I personally don't care about all 4 pieces (and really only need 1 eyeliner guide). I think a single item sold in a Dollar Store would make much more sense.

Beginner friendly
As someone who is a complete rookie and trying to learn how to apply make up better, these stencils have been such a big help to me. I’ve never taken the time to learn how to use makeup, but these have helped me make it seem that I have applied makeup for some time and am not a total beginner, which is great. I like how it helps me keep my eye makeup identical and symmetrical, which is one of the hardest parts about applying make up for me. Definitely a great tool to use if you’re just starting out how to apply make up in a way that will still look nice as well.

Good for beginners
I’m really bad at doing liquid eyeliner and especially bad at doing it so that both eyes are even lol. This tool really helps because I can glide over it rather than have shaky hands, apply uneven pressure, not go straight enough etc. I also sometimes like to just put a little wing on the outer corner of my eye rather than the whole eyelid, so this tool also helps me see how far I do one side so I can match it even the same on the other.

Good in theory, but not practical in real life
I'm horrible at putting on liquid eyeliner or a wing. I was excited to use this tool; however, I found it more cumbersome and the liner looks worse than when I draw it on freehand. Good in theory, but not practical in real life.
