Helped me when I fractured sesamoid
Hi everyone,About 10 months ago I was working a ton and running/cycling whenever I had time off. One day after run, foot just hurt like hell at the base. Anyways, after x-rays and MRI, I had the diagnosis of fractured sesamoid. The podiatrist wanted to operate on me immediately, while an ortho foot specialist was like no way going to operate on me. The ortho foot specialist (I highly recommend seeing an ortho foot specialist over a podiatrist) recommended these things called Dancer's pads, as a transition from my ortho cam-boot. It was hard to get out of the cam-boot because I work so much on my feet, but these little pads are amazing, and helped me do it.They work by actually sticking to the bottom of your foot. It sounds weird I know, but just trust me. Just clean your foot, then carefully (while thinking about how you are going to be putting weight on the foot) apply the pad so that it takes pressure off your sesamoid. Then just put on your sock like normal and then your shoe. Then walk. When I was right out of the cam boot, I used these extra-thick pads and they were just perfect. Later, after some more rehabilitation time, I started alternating, and then switched over completely to the thiner Pedifix Pedi-gel Dancer's Pads, 2-Count pads. The thiner pads are great for when you're really getting better, or if you just need a change from the thicker pads (the pads in general will cause stress at other points of the foot, which can be painful, so it's nice to change them up every now in then). I strongly recommend purchasing both if you're having sesamoid issues, either fracture or -itis.Also, I know they look weird and they're expensive, but Dansko shoes (Dansko Men's Professional Oiled Leather Clog) were also key in my getting better (basically in the transition from using the pad orthotics to using nothing at all). These shoes actually work like a cam boot, and they really helped a lot.So anyways, it really, really, really, really sucks to injure your sesamoid, whether it's just inflamed or fractured. But see an ortho foot specialist, get a cam boot for a while, then go to these pads (Dr. Jills Double Thick Gel Dancer Pads for Left Foot *2 Pack*), or skip the boot if you can manage it with just the pads, and strongly consider the weird clog shoes by Dansko (they look weird but trust me it's worth it).Good luck.

DO NOT BUY / Seller Refuses Return of Unopened/Unused Item Upon Delivery
This product for sale is listed as eligible for return or replacement. However, the order invoice showed the item not returnable. This type of listing is deceptive and dishonest, and buyer would not have purchased had the no return policy been clearly indicated on the listing. Buyer's inspection of the product upon arrival revealed product was too thick and big for a teen dancer's foot, which is the reason for the return of this unused, unopened product. Seller and Amazon deceptively trapped buyer into ordering non-returnable product, a deception that was not revealed until the package was delivered.

Uncomfortable but effective
I had the fantastic luck of developing microfractures in my sesamoid shortly after having a stress fracture in my first metatarsal. Fantastic. Since I had already been out of commission so long with the fracture (two months in a boot, sigh), I was eager to get back to being more active, but the sesamoiditis was preventing that. I bought the Pedi-Fix gel inserts and they helped a lot, but when I wanted do activities more strenuous than just walking around, they didn't quite cut it, so I got these. Here's the thing. They are uncomfortable. They really are! BUT they work if you just really need to take the pressure off of the sesamoid. I wore them to play volleyball, which was hard on my foot with all its quick starts and stops and direction changes. My entire foot was uncomfortable but the sesamoid was not in pain. It's trade off that I was happy to make- yes, my foot was not super happy, and I wouldn't wear these daily for hours, but for preventing further damage and keeping the pain from ramping up again by removing the weight from that bone, these worked well. It has allowed me to return to some of the activities that I love without feeling like I'm making my situation worse and prolonging recovery (much).

It is at least 90% better after just two weeks
I had been experiencing pain under in the ball of my foot under my big toe. After doing some research, it seems that I had injured the area around my sesamoid bone. I got these pads and wore them for two weeks. It was just the right amount of cushioning to take the pressure off this area and allow it to heal. It is at least 90% better after just two weeks. The pads are super easy to use... still have not lost their adhesive or their cushioning. Will definitely be replacing them when they wear out. Worth every penny!

Made my broken sesamoid bearable!
I found out that I had broken one of my sesamoid bones a few weeks ago. Doctor made me start wearing a post-op shoe which really was uncomfortable. After trying several different home made foam orientations I gave up and came across these dancers pads on amazon. All I can say is WOW, the relief has been incredible. I would have paid 10 times the price for these. it has made walking around at work totally bearable.Comes with 2 pads. They are very, very sticky and stay located on the foot well. Once they start getting dirty just rinse them off and they are completely sticky again like new. Amazing product.HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Thanks "Dr. Jill"! Whoever you are!

You will be amazed how well they work
These pads work excellent. I have had problems with my feet for many years and recently had a injury and decided to order the pads. What a difference walking pain free now after a few weeks. I play a lot of tennis and haven't been able to for a while now but my foot is healing much faster than without the pads. I have been using the same pad for several weeks. I just wash it every night and let it dry. Adhesive works very well. I believe these two pads will last a very long time. I will continue to use them for foot support during any activities that put a lot of pressure on my sesamoids. Definitely worth the money!
