An absolute must for birds that like to throw there seeds about, hardly any mess now

This has been one of my best purchases to date! My parakeet is a messy little thing and I’m pretty certain he does it for fun. Buying this had been a godsend as it keeps the majority of food contained, keeping mess down a huge notch!

Had to purchase as our cockatiel flicked most of his seed on the floor. This has been fantastic! The size is probably a bit big for him but he likes to go in and have a little dance so it works for us. I wasn’t too keen on having this on the outside of the cage. One thing we would have had to do was to clip open the bars on the cage as this has no function to stop the cage door closing down again. I liked the versatility of the hooks to either have inside or outside. It looks great on the inside and has combatted the issue of seed flying everywhere over the living room. It’s easy to take out the cage to empty and it’s easy to clean as well. Just make sure it’s dry properly before refilling. Our bird likes the metal perch in there and after a day of sulking he realised how much he loved it.

My budgies both love the feeder, and eat side by side quite happily. They prefer to keep me in a job by ignoring the no mess claim. They drop rhe husks/chaf back in with the seed OR all over the bottom of the cage or onto the carpet whilst sitting on the open cage door. The intended part of the feeder for the afore mentioned waste is however mess free 🤣🤣🤣🤣

This feeding box is a perfect size for a budgie and parrotlet. Less mess in the bottom of the cage, and on your floor! Lol. Sturdy little box, which sits over, the opened food door gate. Or you can use the clips on the other side, and hook it to the outside of the bird cage, if your bird is flying around the house.

Saved me a lot of cleaning up.

It is and does what it says, but it's such a palaver to wash and refill. There's no way to get the chaff, which eventually covers the unhulled seed, from the feeder without rotating it backwards over a bin until the contents spill out into the bin. Then you wash it, then dry it with a dishcloth. It's not easy to get that dishcloth into every corner when putting your hand through the same hole the bird uses. Then you have to turn it on it's back and spoon (scoop) a couple of days worth of seed into it through the opening the bird uses, then turn it upright so that the sed flows down the back wall into the seed compartment. There's just way too much palaver involved, it makes it fussy and impractical. If the upper half of the back wall could be made removable, or even the outer half of the top, then, maybe yes; but as it stands, it's a reject for me! Two stars because it basically does what it claims; it reduces mess from chaff. But there's simply way too much fuss and bother with respect to keeping it clean and refilling it.

Endlich eine Futterstelle für meine Wellensittiche gefunden wo die Hülsen in der Futterbox bleiben. Keine Hülsen mehr in der Voliere oder am Boden. Sauber Sache, leicht zu montieren, kann man mit angebrachten Edelstahlhaken am Käfig befestigen, innen oder auch außen
