You can add multiple temperature humidity sensors through your mobile phone and name them, and then you can monitor the temperature and humidity of different areas through the SwitchBot app. This SwitchBot thermometer has an IP65 waterproof and dustproof rating, and with its mini compact design, you can place it in any indoor or outdoor space to monitor its environment.

Q: Is it possible to use this device with bluetooth only - logging data on an iPhone only, not uploading to the web.

Hello, thank you for your interest in SwitchBot. The SwitchBot indoor and outdoor thermometer and hygrometer is a Bluetooth product, compatible with both Android and iOS systems. You can certainly use only the Bluetooth function of this product. You can view or export data through your phone within the Bluetooth range (394ft, unobstructed). The on-board storage days for the SwitchBot outdoor temperature and humidity sensor is 68 days, which means you need to transfer the data to your phone every 68 days and cache the data within two years in the phone app.

Q: Can this be used with hubitat?

I see a Github repository for "hubitat_switchBot", which states, "This provides various driver capabilities for SwitchBot devices, including the humidity/temperature meter, bot, curtain, humidifier, strip light, color bulb (using the strip light driver), smart lock, motion sensor, contact sensor, plug mini, and hub IR functionality".

Q: do you need to add the app or can you just set up with Alexa?

You need the App. That’s the only way you can connect to Alexa. Plus the app has a whole bunch of other stuff to personalize and set schedules.
