Easy install, open front bottom panel
Fit perfectly, worked perfectly. A hint to other DIY’ers, the heating element is accessed via the front bottom panel of your front load dryer. Installed was fairly easy, but wear gloves. 2 screws on the guard, one screw on the left. A small 1/4 socket will get the job done.

Big easy DIY savings
My dryer stopped drying so I called an appliance repair company and they were going to take 4 days to come out and likely charge me $450 to fix the unit, so I went on YouTube and looked up potential solutions for my model of dryer and saw the fix was probably changing out a burned out heating element. So I bought this one on Amazon after much thought because I didn’t know if the quality would hold up compared to what the appliance repair company would use, or a replacement bought from Sears or an appliance parts supplier ($98 and $65 respectively). I went with the $18 solution from Amazon because for that money, even if it didn’t fix the problem or even if it stops working after 3 months, it was worth a try. I’m happy to say, the dryer is working again after 30 minutes of very easy tinkering and my clothes are drying perfectly. As an added bonus, with the cover off, I took the opportunity to vacuum out the incredible amount of lint that had built up inside the unit, so that’s an added bonus and makes me feel safer. If the element ends up burned out after a short period, I’ll come back and update this review.

Work but only last ~ 2 years.
They work but don't last that long. Typically ~ 2 years. I don't use the High heat level. Only Medium because the heat output is high.
