Sony Bravia 8. Just spectacular picture and sound.
I had a very good Samsung Tv but decided to try out Sony. The Sony Bravia 8 outclasses the Samsung by far. The picture quality is breath taking, the depth of the sound and bass is awesome. Very easy to set up and nice controls via the Sony app. The TV controller lights up when I pick it up. 4K is spectacular and have used for gaming on Xbox which is awesome. The only drawback is the short length of the plug. Other than that, the Sony Tv is amazing.

Impressive performance
This television is no ‘budget model’ so you expect it to be good, and it doesn’t disappoint. Colours are sharp, bright and natural and the sound, without a sound bar added, is impressive. We wanted something that would stand on a corner unit, without completely dominating the room. It also had to be viewable from a number of seating positions, on these issues it ticked all the boxes.Netflix and Amazon streaming services are accessible from the handsets, of which there are two. Why two? To be honest you will need both to do different things, though that does seem a little odd.Setting up was simple enough using the quick setup guide, so you shouldn’t have much of a problem here. I did have an issue with the Bravia Core app. which I discovered was being blocked by the parental settings of my broadband service, but Sony were very helpful in putting things right. The navigation system is a tad less user friendly than on my Samsung Smart TV, but that may just be because I am used to using it.I pondered awarding four stars, but it is of such a high quality picture and sound at the price point, it deserves the full quota,

Great Picture, No Freesat
The TV was easy to setup and I had no problems. Picture quality is excellent. You can go into a plethora of menus to optimise for your preferences. It comes with 2 remotes.Disappointingly I discovered that for at least the last 3 years Sony is unable to download and update the programme list from Freesat. It is a known issue on Sony’s Community pages. Sony should put a warning as to what is not compatible with their products. No sign of a fix for the firmware glitch. I’ve been forced to get a Sky subscription to get over this, it and Amazon Firestick work fine.

Oustanding Oled TV
Outstanding 55" oled smart TV. Bought to replace an 8year old LG 55B7V which is also excellent but doesn't have e-ARC so wouldn't work with a Sennheiser £900 soundbar. (Not the tv's fault - Sennheiser should have made sure a premium soundbar workd with older TVs, hence the soundbar was returned). The remote is not good - the volume buttons are too close to the end that you hold. Sony you need to stop penny pinching with these.
