Shall We Tell the President? (Kane and Abel series Book 3)

Excellent read
Complete change to the other books in this series but a nice easy holiday read, as usual with Jeffrey Archer books well written and to the point.

Another winner
Another great read from Archer. I just love his books after an introduction to Kane and Abel which to me is his best work ever. Shall We Tell The President is the 3rd in the trilogy, The Prodigal Daughter being the second, but don't expect a continuation of this polish saga, far from it, this stands alone. The book is about an assignation attempt on the life of the president of the United States. Archer keeps you in suspense through-out with lots of twists and turns right to the end when the whole thing comes together in a dramatic conclusion. The only gripe I had was with all the references to american senate debates and legislature, being a Brit this did not in interest me in the slightest however as the book is primarily about the US president I will forgive this small error! I now have all his books and will look forward to many happy hours of reading. Thank you Jeffrey for your many talents and skills as a writer which certainly keep us entertained.

A good read, but not what you will expect
This book, whilst being a good read which kept me up later than is reasonable, was not at all what I was expecting. Having recently read The Clifton Chronicles, followed by Kane and Abel then the Prodigal Daughter, I fully expected Shall We Tell the President to be another epic, family type saga. This was, however, more a crime thriller, 'whodunnit' type story - not the genre I would ever knowingly choose. That said, it was a good pager turner even if the story was slightly far fetched in places. We see very little of Florentyna Kane in this, so don't pick it up expecting it to be 'Part 3'!

Kept my interest all way through
First class thriller from Archer which keeps you wanting to turn the page. He keeps the mystery as to who is the Senator involved to the very end. Excellent stuff.

the best if the three
The best book I have read in years. It had me hooked from page 1. It had everything. mystery, crime, murder, modern history, intrigue. I have read all 3 of the Kane & Able series & this one is the best of all of them. They are all long reads as well so good value.
