Great for keeping Me & The Bike Clean
I bought this for the ease of having a short summer guard, and a longer covering for wet/winter weather -with easy changes that require no tool changes, nor dismounting of the unit.It does a great job of keeping debris away from the rear of the Bike & rider, whist not looking too out of place. It's fairly sturdy, given what it is, and thanks to the strong mounting frame - it doesn't budge when on rough terrain.

Good mudguard
This mudguard is decent. In the short set up it won't keep you bum and back clean, but it keeps most of the crap off my rear shock, which is the important thing. It fits nicely and doesn't make any noise and not rattling.Little bit fiddly to fit, but worth doing properly so it doesn't move around or make noise. Not the cheapest, but performs well.I've not tried it in long mode yet.

Works really well
I'm very impressed with this rear mudguard, like most MTBer's can't see the point but I have found that rear guards keep all the mud and crap out of the rear shock and linkage bearings prolonging their life.I always mad fun of my mate with his long mudhugger rear guard but this one doesn't look that bad and even kept me dry and the dropper post too! I was only going to use it as the short version and throw the extension away but I'm glad I didn't, I like the fact that you can swap out long or rear with just one click. Although most of the time I will use it in the short version it's nice to have the extension for when there has been a downpour.I'm impressed it's supplied with a carry bag to store the extension whilst not fitted to the bike. It fits really well and has little rubber grippers for the frame, came supplied with velcro straps although I decided to use cable ties.

Great rear guard, especially with the expender, but…
Don’t get me wrong, this is a great mudguard and well presented in its own bag with strong mounts, short end cap and long extender, plus rubber mount feet and velcro ties, so really it should be perfect.Unfortunately though, after just the first ride from fitting it the guard kept slipping down the swingarm towards the tyre and rubbing. After just a little fettling and a couple of cable ties later the lower suspension guard was securely fixed against the swingarm and the mudguard performed extremely well on its second outing on a rougher trail.Overall I’m very pleased with it, but only after the modification.Perhaps if the manufacturer considered a little additional design to add a further mount in the way I described then this could possibly be the best rear MTB mudguard money can buy!Buy with confidence, but allow a little imagination to ensure proper mounting because ‘as-it-comes’ just isn’t good enough, but doesn’t need much thought to make it better.

Good in theory - poor in practice.
I really like Mucky Nutz products so thought that this rear mud guard would solve the problem of getting a wet and muddy back during winter rides. Got the product and all was fine and easy to fit. You have to put in some plugs in so the adjusting system stays in the right place.Unfortunately the plugs are not very secure. A few times a plug would come out while riding - the first few times a managed to find the plugs but eventually lost one. I tried asking both Mucky Nutz and the seller for a replacement plug but both said no. Funny enough you can buy replacement plugs!! So this is the appears to be a known problem.I have now requested a refund from seller but so far no response. As this is a product for mountain biking, you would expect it to tolerate dealing with hard conditions. The seller told me that I may have “skagged” it on something!!! Well may be but try mountain biking without your bike brushing up against something! Not worth £35.

Good mudguard but...
Clever mudguard design – fitted easily and feels more solid than the SKS Mudrocker, which I found quite poor. I did have to trim a small section of the guard where it would have otherwise interfered with the rear shock, but that’s due to the unique shape of my Mondraker frame. After a test ride, it seems to have held up well. Not sure how durable the Velcro straps will be over time, so I may switch to cable ties later.I’ve knocked 2 stars off because mine arrived slightly bent in the post. I contacted MuckNtuz about it but was told this is expected when buying via Amazon resellers, and that I’d have received a perfect one if I’d ordered direct. That may be true, but in my opinion, if you’re the manufacturer, you should still take an interest – the end-user experience reflects on your brand either way.

Easy fit
Had this fitted in seconds despite having to look at the item details again for instructions. You can have this long with the additional extender or short with the supplied end cap. I would have liked a bit more length on the frame end but apart from that I would have to highly recommend this item. At the price it isn't the cheapest but if you want a quality, sturdy, easy to fit mudguard you can't go too far wrong with this one
