Chicken Salt 100g

I first had chicken salt on chips/fries in Australia and thought it was great. To say I’m thrilled I’ve found it on Amazon is an understatement. I love the stuff and this is a particularly good one. Not just for on your chips but on cheesed in toast or in soup and to season meat whilst cooking. Very versatile and adds a great flavour

I was in Australia a few years ago and came across Chicken Salt there. Its a seasoning that I mostly found on chips whilst I was out there and the taste was so good that I bought some to bring home. Sadly that ran out and this was the closest replacement I could find. Its expensive for what it is, but I use it sparingly and it lasts for a good while.

Love a bit of chicken salt on just about everything, Mitani is the best tasting, I probably should have checked the size before buying as in my head I was going to receive a big tub, but it’s actually pretty tiny, still I’d buy it again though.

So it goes really well on chips. You have to use a disturbing amount on your chips really to give them a good flavour, and then comes the problem of the size of it. It's not much bigger than a film holder case, so I doubt it'd last so long. I personally still use salt with it, so I don't have to use so much of it. I haven't tried it with chicken yet, or other meats, but it has a great flavour, that is very savoury. A little hint of sweetness, but mostly salty flavours with some herbs to it. It's a very fine powder though, so with no anti caking agent in it, it needs to be somewhere dry stored. Would buy again, but will try and find it cheaper for sure.

Bought for my brother who spent a few years in Australia where he discovered Chicken Salt. He loves the stuff. I found this here on Amazon and gifted this to him. I am truly happy with this purchase.

Love this chicken salt always had this when I was a kid growing up in Oz and the taste is still as great as I remember.

Not impressed. Firstly when it arrived, the container had one of those plastic "pop-out" tops that you find on other salt containers, and this one had already been popped open. Secondly it didn't taste anywhere near as strong or as good as the Chicken Salt we first discovered in a restaurant. It basically tastes like salt with a little bit of chicken flavouring.These two things together make it hard not to suspect that although the "Mitani Chicken Salt" container is genuine, the contents may not be. Why was it already open? Had it been refilled with a cheap substitute?After our initial excitement at finally getting a packet of this delicious salt turned to disappointment at the bland taste, we have not used it since and quite frankly will probably bin it. This combined with the price (which admittedly is mostly postage, but is postage in the UK really that high?) means I am disappointed with this product and will not buy again from this company. I cannot in all conscience award it more than 1 star (and that only because I cannot award it none).

Arrived very quickly. Although within date the chicken salt was one big lump in the container and had to be prized apart to get it out. Flavour only ok.
