Works Good so far
Haven't installed it on the wood boiler yet, but built the assembly waiting for a warm day to hook it up. Seems to be constructed well and and fairly heavy. This is a identical setup to what is currently being ran to heat a 6000 gallon underground storage tank. The other wood boiler is smaller and we used a 40 plate as an proof of concept. No complaints as far as efficiency! If I remember correctly, 170⁰-180⁰ boiler water goes into the exchanger comes out around 145⁰'ish. The other side comes in at 56⁰ and goes out around 78⁰ish. Roughly about a 20⁰ delta throughout the entire heating process. It will bring the storage tank up to about 120⁰.

Good Heat Transfer
Just finished my install and have had it running twice. So far I have been very satisfied. My closed loop is running at 150 degree F and my open loop target temp is 120 degrees F. I started with 2,000 gallons of 48 degree water during my first test and raised the temp to 100 degrees F in about 2 hours. I still need to insulate the HX and all of my pipes.

Reduced bill
No more waiting to shower! My old tank thankfully died. With a household of 5, someone always got shafted with the lukewarm or cold shower. Then you had to wait the obligatory 45 minutes for the next shower. Screw that! The installation is simple if you are inclined to do some simple plumbing and electrical work on your own. SharkBite fittings make modern plumbing so simple that it is like grown-up Legos. Otherwise, pay a professional. I got the highest rated tank that my electrical box would sustain and now I can shower while the washing machine is running and don't even notice. Should someone else decide to shower at the same time, it does not matter. My master bathroom has a nice big tub in it that we never used. The entire tank could only fill it up to barely cover our knees. On the first night after installing the tankless, we filled that sucker up and soaked for a luxurious hour. Power consumption is down. Even though I probably take a 20% longer shower now, my energy bill is way down. The old tank was that inefficient. I think the gain is mostly due to the old tank slowly failing but my recent energy bills are the lowest they have ever been since moving into this house. Damn that old tank.

Decent job transferring heat
This plate chiller is used for my 10 gallon brewing system. I have a couple of pumps I use to run water and wort through the chiller. It gets 10+ gallons of boiling wort to under 100 degrees in about 8 or 12 mins, then takes another 5 or 8 to get under 80, mostly due to hot TX water and not having enough ice on hand. But overall the chiller does a decent job of transferring the heat. I just wish the water ports were fitted for garden hose. Not a big deal, I just hooked up some quick disconnects and bought an adapter for my garden hose.
