too generic - not really related to glamping
I have seen so many great ideas on glamping facebook pages and websites - but unfortunately none of them were in this book. I thought many of the crafts were simply generic crafts, and some of them were not suitable to camping at all (clay awning flags? break much?) I was looking for maybe make-your-own awning ideas, camp lighting ideas, using-vintage-fabric ideas, etc... Instead, this book contains instructions on how to crochet a "camping" blanket & coasters, making a wrapped yarn wreath, making braided rugs (really?), quilting a "camping" blanket, and making a pom-pom garland, among other things. I'll admit there were a couple of neat ideas (the doily dreamcatcher), and the authors included a very brief tutorial on making camper cushions (but never mentioning anything about the thickness or type of foam). I was just disappointed that the crafts were so bland and generic, when I was looking for examples of some of the awesome, creative ideas I've seen on various glamping websites. My advice would be to not buy this book, and instead join facebook groups such as Glampers on the Loose and The Loyal Order of Glampers. People post fantastic ideas with instructions all the time, and there are much better ideas out there for Glampers than are in this book.

Nice projects
This is an okay book. I like the look of the projects in it, although I wasn't exactly inspired to jump right in and start creating any of them. I think maybe the directions were confusing - but that could be my fault and not the book or the layout - I had a stroke 2 + years ago and my vision is still affected. But I'm glad I purchased it.

More fru-fru than practical, but fun.
To me, glamping does not mean hauling lots of decorative "stuff", more like camping in comfort with some fun designs. Some good ideas for cushion covers, food protective covers (handy and a very old idea brought to a new audience), and a pocket tidy (I'm thinking of adapting that one to our camper). Clay pennants, a shower cap and a pom-pom garland are way too far out for our use.

Excellent and useful
I actually added this item to get the free shipping on the Mary Jane's Glamping book, but have found Handmade Glamping to be a perfect companion to Mary Jane's book! Includes useful projects like recovering seat cushions as well as "cute" projects like crocheted shelf edging. I'm glad I added this and can't wait to get started on my projects!

Nice book - cute projects.
I gave 4 stars instead of 5 only because the book was not exactly what I was looking for. Cute projects, good instructions.
