These are not the lowest-cost option. These are the best functioning option. There are cheaper versions of these but I choose this one because they work reliably and fit well.

These JODROAD RJ45 boot covers are... fine. The fit is a bit loose and feels a little sloppy, but they do the job well enough for basic strain relief. If you’re looking for something super precise, you might want to look elsewhere, but for casual use, they’re affordable and get the job done.

Key release is easy to operate

These boots are a nice finishing touch to DIY crimped connectors, but mostly for aesthetics. The ribbed strain relief section is pretty stiff, so it doesn't really flex much with the cable so it provides only slight strain relief to bending. But if it's worth anything, but it does move the bending farther away from the connector. Also the cable I was using was a bit undersized, but even if that wasn't the case, I can't imagine the grip of the boot providing much resistance to pulling. Otherwise, I do like that the boots don't easily pull or slide off because there's a lip at the front that catches the small ledge on the underside of the connector. I posted a pic of a cutaway of the connector to try to show this feature and general fit. Overall, it's still slightly better than having no boot and it does give DIY cables a more finished look. So while I'm happy with these for my needs, you should be aware of their functional limitations. I hope this review was helpful.
