2x Barlow - Double Magnification Telescope Lens for Standard 1.25" Astronomy Scope Eyepiece/Lenses.

This item is perfectly usable for it's intended purpose but having looked at it, i am hesitant to think that it will last any decent amount of time. It is a low grade plastic construction but it does have a glass lens at least. although this lens is not achromatic. having spent £10 on this item, i wish now that i had spent the little extra and gotten the £15 Seben Achromatic 2x barlow instead. For the sake of £5 i would not say that this item is worth the little bit less than it costs to buy a better built superior item.

I grabbed this 2x magnification scope to get a closer look at Jupiter from my garden. It already looks great through a 12mm eyepiece, but this attachment made it bigger (not clearer, in fact it even adds a bit of blur) and is the closest/best I can view it with my basic telescope. It's also good for getting a close look at craters on the moon!Build is good quality, fits in the telescope with ease and holds whatever 1.25" eyepiece you choose snugly.Postage was fast and carefully packed.

Have 3x barrow lense, but some times need a smaller one depending on what is being observed. This is a great addition and very compact.

Cheap and cheerful and ok for lunar viewing but not great for planitary.

Excellent condition when parcel arrived.
