Adapter has to much play when a 1/4" male adapter is inserted to it, sloppy, not centered.
Do NOT rely on this tool ( if you want to call it that) this adapter does not center your drill or socket or what ever else you install into it. It is off set by a oversized centering hole for your bits, therefore spinning your drill , socket or what ever else you are using out of center. The ball bearing holds your 1/4' drive in place but, it is not centered. POOR DESIGN.....I needed to drill a hole in a very tight area and could not control the bit due to the adapter being out of center of where I needed to focus the drill bit.

This 1/2" to 1/4" adaptor was bought to fit my newly purchased 1/2" drive impact screwdriver which could only hold the standard 5/16” screwdriver bits. Now it can hold the smaller 1/4" bits.

They look good... but poor design.. Any 1/4 drive bits you fit into these holder will sort of click firmly into the bit for the first couple of times and then after that they remain a sloppy fit and just fall out.

very nice addition to impact wrench. Makes bit change very easy, holds onto bit really well, and keeps length from tool to screw nice and short. Has expanded the capabilities of my small impact driver.
