A great addition to any city
This model is a must have. A great addition to any city. Works well with a small motor and a battery box. Colors are good and lot of minifig.

This LEGO set is HUGE and absolutely awesome!
The media could not be loaded. I absolutely love this set. It's huge once completed and definitely makes a statement when on display. When you add on the LEGO components to make it move, it becomes even cooler. The price point for this set isn't as significant when you consider the sheer size of the set. The number of minifigs that come with this set is also a plus. If there was ever a question about which LEGO set I would recommend to someone if they were looking around this price point, the Ferris Wheel would most definitely be near the top of my recommendations. When you purchase the power functions for this set you will be amazed at how smooth the ferris wheel turns. Though it makes a little noise when turning due to the power functions, it's still not so loud that it's annoying. The power functions battery pack requires 6 AAA batteries, so get prepared to purchase lots of batteries to keep this ferris wheel turning. If you decide not to use the power functions, then no worries, as there is a crank system that allows you to manually turn the ferris wheel. There are a total of 12 cabins for passengers to ride in as the ferris wheel turns, which means there is plenty of space for everyone. There are 8 minifigs included in this LEGO set, which is a good amount for one individual set.The wide-range and variety of colors on this set are also a perk. There are several colors with pieces that are fairly rare and can only be found in a handful of LEGO sets. The ticket booth is a nice touch, as well as the ice cream vendor. The kid with the balloon is also a nice addition to this set.The overall build time for this set was around 6 hours, which may be even more depending on the age of the bricker. This is the kind of build that requires a little bit of time and usually multiple sittings. You won't be disappointed if you purchase this set... tons of playability and lots of enjoyment for the entire family. If my review was helpful, please hit "helpful" below. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.Happy bricking.

ALL I CAN DO IS GO ROUND AND ROUND ABOUT HOW MUCH FUN THIS LEGO BUILD IS!
The media could not be loaded. Hey, just too great of a LEGO build to miss. Be aware, the motor does not come with the model but as you can see from the video, the little hand crank works just fine. The motor kit costs about another $100 if you want to go that route. It is a pretty challenging build as LEGO builds go, especially lining up the big circular ferris wheels to make them perfectly round, but just a load of fun to watch all slowly come together. I have it right next to LEGO "The Loop" rollercoaster so my LEGO Amusement Park is slowly coming to life.

Wonderful Gift For my 11 Year Old Daughter
To start, I bought this for my daughter's 11th birthday. Despite knowing this was recommended for ages 16 and up, I thought it would be a nice challenge for her.She started putting this together on a Sunday and finished it that following Friday!! My daughter has always loved building things since she was a toddler. She'd rather build with Legos than play any video game. The only issue she had putting this together was simply putting the base together. When my husband showed her how to count the pieces, she had no problem at all. She probably spent a total of 8-10 hours to put it together. If you are considering buying this, keep in mind if you're buying it for someone younger than 16, it can be an excellent gift if he/she has lots of experience with building with large Lego sets. I added a few pictures of her building process. We bought a large card table from Costco for her building area. The set was missing one piece, but she was able to find a substitute from her other sets. The instructions were very clear and had had the building process set up into four phases. My daughter is a visual learner, so the written steps with pictures helped her immensely. I didn't help her at all.All we are waiting for now is the power adapter and battery pack. I might add a video to this review to show how it works. This is by far the best toy I've bought her. I just think it's crazy that it only took her a few days to put together!!
