Spare drives
No issues with delivery as arrived in good condition and on time. On opening the box the item looked good, but the lid felt plastic when using and this I felt should of been metal or hard plastic. The item worked well when drives were inserted and used, with the speed being good, however the smaller drives were a bit tricky to release from holder but this could be down to my large fingers.I would still recommend this drives as made life easier swopping my drives except took a bit longer with small ones. Other than that this is an excellent product and well worth getting if you have extra drives you need files from but don't need sitting in your computer and as you do not need to use screws, just open lid insert drive into it then plug into a Usb port on you computer which makes it easy to setup, install and use. Recommended.

Works on Win11and USB 2 as well as USB3
It works fine with Windows 11 and also on USB2. This info should be included in the description as there is only talk of USB3 which is faster than 2 but it is fast enough for me on USB2. My only concern is that getting to grips with a 2.5inch drive, so as to remove it from the caddy, is a little difficult as I have large hands, but I managed. Managed to sort through a collection of SSD and HDD drives all SATA without any problem. Would recommend.

Not recommended can show no data incorrectly
2 years old, used for about 1 week total and now every disk connected says it needs initializing. Connect disk to another sata to usb adapter or directly to a pc and the disks shows with data and healthy. I wouldn't trust this device and they should last a lot longer than this, even cheaper units seem to last a decade, so this is disappointing. For anyone wanting more information/validation I've been working in IT for 35 years, I have used different PSUs and usb cables with this after finding the issue and it made no difference. It doesn't look like a power related issue but something logic based. That it shows as a working disk but uninitialized is worrying as I wonder how many people in the same situation would try to scrub their drives and start again before realising it's this hardware that is at fault.

reads and writes with good speeds.
very easy to set up with only two cables and for the price is very very worth it as it has good read and write speeds and rarely doesn't connect but I think that's down to the drive and not the reader itself and also is the perfect size to fit on-top of my PC tower and it looks like its part of the PC but that's likely just a coincidence.
