This book was a phenomenal read! It had all the things I love about mäfìä romance and MM romance all wrapped into a perfect storyline. In this book we meet Enzo & Tex. A cop looking to make a name for himself with some skeletons of his own he’s running from & a ċřìmìnäl that enjoys tørtüring the people that have wrong him or his family, and that thrives in things being in order. I loved the level of details put into every scene/ scenario it made it so easy for me to sink into the story and wanting more!! I truly couldn’t put it down! I really enjoyed the banter between the characters but I also enjoyed being able to meet important side characters too and kinda start piecing together their importance for the book and the books to come. Tex & Enzo just made scene for me I never questioned them it was just too perfect of a connection between the two of them!! 🌶️5/5: Good lawddd the spice in this book was spicin the jalapeños were definitely pinoin!! The details in those scene really will have you needed some water and maybe a fan it was that spicy! I enjoyed each and every scene!! As stated this is book one of an interconnected series that can be read as a standalone but in my opinion makes more sense reading in order to fully understand the over all storyline!! -Happy Reading Babes

Tex is a cop and Enzo is a criminal who is twisted and complicated how could these two possibly work curiosity it killed the cat so can Tex survive Enzo. Tex has to make Detective to prove to his father he's not a complete mess up but what he doesn't get is his father will never see him like Enzo dose witch makes what he feels for Enzo more conflicted how do you stay a cop and love a gangster when your very job requires you to bring them down. Enzo knows Tex is a cop but he cant stay away even though he's been down that road before with another lover who betrayed him and his brother Benito is convinced its going to happen again someone is turning there men and stealing there stuff is it Tex. Enzo knows it's not his lover but if he can't prove it he may have to kill him. Okay so I read these books out of order I read Gin and Ash's book first so I can tell you that you can read each book as a standalone but I has to find out about Tex and Enzo after reading there characters in book two they fascinated me a cop and a mafia man or should I say and ex cop. Enzo is way more brutal then I expected and if your not a fan of violent death this book will have some triggers as for Tex he came of as almost nieve he trust when he shouldn't and battles addiction that being said they work as a couple Enzo is Tex's support and Tex is the quit in the chaos of Enzo's mind. I'm really looking forward to the third book about Benito.

I loved this book so much. It was the perfect dark romance and I ate it up. And it was a mxm so I loved it even more. You have a cop Tex who dreams of being a detective like his hero dad and then you have Enzo the psychopath mobster who belongs to the Vitale family, the mob family Tex wants to bring down for his dream. Things get a little complicated when Tex and Enzo they both spiral down the dark path between love duty,and family. What is right and what is wrong. They can’t seem to stay away from each other, it becomes one obsessed toxic passionate and fiery love story you can’t get enough. Did I mention the spice is spicy. Fav Quotes: “You know what they say. If you love something, let it free or some shit like that.” I shook my head. “That is ridiculous. It should be, if you love something, lock it away so that it never escapes.” “From now on, I’m the only one allowed to hurt you or make you cry. Every inch of you belongs to me.” I bit his lip. “Even your life.” I wanted to claim Tex in every way possible. I needed him to know mind, body, and soul. He was mine and mine alone.

Meh. It started off good but kinda dropped off. Products came in great condition.

It was fun, hot, and surprisingly great autism rep for a mafia book. I’ll probably like the sequels better since they aren’t as police heavy. What I liked: - Good autism rep - Hints of ACAB that soften the blow that the MMC is a cop - Unique mafia MMC (nerdy, shorter, ND, hates the club) - Accepting, loving, queer mafia brothers - Good spicy scenes - Smooth and fun to read What I don’t care for: - It’s a little cliché (like a lot of mafia books) - Lots of improper and illegal cop behavior by MMC (not getting a warrant, case files hoarded at home, B&E at suspects’ properties, hassling witnesses, undermining others’ cases, getting rewarded at work for bad behavior, etc) - Writing style isn’t my favorite. I’ve DNF’d this author before, but her writing’s improved since then. Overall enjoyed it though! Onto the next book.

The characters were amazing - Enzo, the youngest Vitale brother, is a strong dominant unhinged autistic man, who takes no prisoners and loves nothing more than to torture his victims, but for his brothers and now Tex he would burn the world down to protect and ensure they’re safe - Tex, he’s the ex-addict turned cop, damaged by his abusive father, who has his world turned upside down once he meets Enzo in the best way. Their instant connection and pull jumps of the page at you, but how is a mafia boss and a cop ever going to work, but wow do you scream at the page for them to get it together. Enzo was in from the start, unfortunately past history of betrayal kept rearing it head along the way, but once he realised they weren’t alike, he was fully “you’re mine”, even fighting his eldest brother to protect Tex. Tex was the most conflicted, he wanted to bring the Vitale brothers down and earn his dream of becoming a detective. On their first chance meeting the pull was incredibly and Tex’s war with himself began….detective or love? But his own betrayal would give him the push he needed to go in the right direction. ♥️ I can’t wait to continue the series with Enzo’s brothers Giancarlo and Benito.

Were they toxic? Yes But I truly believe they love each other One of those couples that matched each others freak way too much

This book gets us very addicted very fast! This couple is just so awesome. I absolutely recommend this book.

Tex who is a cop, falls into the path of mobster brother Enzo and oh my is this a good book🔥🔥 Tex has devoted the past 2 years of his life, working up to become a detective just like his dad and attempted to achieve that by bringing down the Vitale brothers, only he has been claimed by one of them before the chase has really begun. Enzo Vitale, a smart intelligent man who is actually autistic and has many quirks which work to his advantage. He came to terms with his life and had just about given up one finding his person until his eyes catch on Tex. These two have such an explosive connection emotionally, mentally and physically. Despite being on the total opposite ends in their career, they choose each other. This story had a great storyline and great characters but most the connection between these two were incredible and had such good banta.
