This may be my favourite manga series. The portrayal of student life, frustrated love, and artistic temperament is incredibly true-to-life, seen through the eyes of a group of characters who you will grow to love. Even people who don't read manga would enjoy this, as it doesn't contain the usual stereotypes or conventions that can be offputting to the unfamiliar. The art is loose and sketchy, with lots of little throwaway comments and details that make re-reading a necessity and a pleasure. I suppose the plot is rather like a soap opera, but the frequent laugh out loud humour balances the poignant emotion perfectly. I wish the anime were available ... the live action film is a nice complement, but not as funny as the manga. Buy this - you will never see a Twister board the same way again!Edit: The Twister board episode is actually in Volume 2, so buy both together :-)

Cute series. Bought this one from a used seller, shipped much more quickly than I anticipated.This is definitely a staple josei series. If you're in college, or in your 20s, or imagine yourself being so in a few years, or want to relive your college days, this is a cute series that focuses on the characters. It's not too cute or sweet.

I loved the condition and how nostalgia it was to read such a great story. But its Shoujo the story is very vanilla but its perfect for new manga readers.

はちみつとクローバーは日本語版を読んで面白かったし、独特の世界観があって好きな作品です。この作品に限らず、日本語で読んだ漫画を英語で読むとストーリーが分かっているので読みやすいです。多少ニュアンスが変わっても、こういうシーンではこういうセリフが出てくるのかと勉強にもなります

I've adored the anime for a decade, one of the most charming and lovely little series' that you'll ever watch. I see after having read the first volume that the anime is almost a carbon copy of the original work and since this is the case, I had a very hard time enjoying the manga and found myself rushing through the scenes since I already knew what was going to happen at every turn. Because of this and because I personally fell in love with the soundtrack and the voice actors of the series, I prefer the anime and will likely not continue the manga. Having watched the anime, the manga was not very exciting. Also, one of my personal pet peeves with manga is when the author doesn't transition through the scenes well. If they use one image, for example, with tons and tons of speech or don't adequately illustrate the flow of events in a scene, I get irritated, lost and think less of the author.
