Solar Panel Compatible with Blink Outdoor & Blink (3rd Gen), Built-in 5000mAh Rechargeable Battery for Security Camera (Black)

Got this for a blink on our mailbox that faces the house. Working great so far and seems to keep the camera going through cloudy days.Would like to have some sort of meter and way to charge it without sun before installing and a slightly longer power cord so using multiple cords wouldn’t be necessary. I also had to modify it to fit on the narrow mailbox post (drilled two mounting holes closer together.So far much happier than changing batteries weekly and makes my blink cameras actually have value again.

Easy enough to install since they include a drilling template. Good power source. And it looks far better than some of the other ones on the market.Has been a solid power source and is my new go to for Blink external power.

Ok so I must admit for the first few weeks I was convinced that this thing was a dud and was ready to return it. I kept checking the plug and connections but it still wouldn't power my camera. I tried again tonight and that's when I found the power switch we forgot to flip. Plugged it back into the camera and within seconds it was working as advertised. Easy to set up and attach to our patio. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

This solar charger works well. It is easy to install and hook up to the camera. I did take the batteries out of the camera first and it has completely powered the camera. It comes with a waterproof casing for the usb connection to prevent water from getting into the camera innards.The only negative is that the cord is very short, so the camera can't be tucked away under the eaves and the solar panel out in the sun. For this I dropped a star. In areas with extreme heat or cold, being able to keep the camera under shelter keeps it operating.This is a Vine Program review. After 4 months it just stopped working. Not recharging or powering my Blink camera. It sits in direct sunlight for a large portion of the day.

I love my Blink cameras but i was running through batteries on my one over the driveway. This was super easy to put up plugs right into the back of the camera and i don't have to worry about my camera going dead again. It also keeps some of the weather off the camera for a better view.

The solar panel has been an excellent alternative to the continual replacement of batteries. We were surprised on the overcast days that the solar panel still provided enough energy to keep our Blink Camera operating as expected.We’ve just gone through a cold snap in Ontario, Canada where the temperatures at night went to a ‘real feel’ temperature of -30 Celsius and the solar panel continued to work as expected. Now that is pretty amazing. I would recommend this product!
