I own at least twenty interior design books(oh my…at least…now that I think about it, I almost do not want to count!) ranging from expensive, to used purchases that didn’t cost much. __White And Faded__ is easily in my top three. There are plenty of pictures. There is also engaging instruction (I want to “sit at an artist’s feet” so to speak and learn how to do my own design work. I want inside their head. That takes words.)And there s also story. Story makes important things “sticky”. Janet’s beautiful, soulful images and design principles have stuck with me because of her touching stories. I can recall many images and ideas for design without the book open in front of me, because of story.Even my husband took interest, when I flipped to the page with the outdoor scene, and the antique children’s scooter. The whole chapter about designing for family, kids, and pets was perfection.__White and Faded__ is never leaving my bookcase. I am buying my grown twin daughters each a copy.

Images are relaxing. Prompts ideas for my own home. I tend towards minimalism.

I just love this book. The photos are so beautiful, the stories are from the heart and her advice is really good. A beautiful book that I will be referring too every season. 🤍

I anxiously awaiting the arrival of this book and it did not disappoint. Having a collection of many interior design books, White & Faded goes beyond the "pretty pictures" and shares stories/suggestions from a heart-filled perspective. The white and faded style is beautifully shared in lovely images and the when spoken from the heart, it is a keeper! A MUST READ!

This book is absolutely breathtaking.....the photographs are stunning and so inspiring...simply magical. What I really loved was how genuine and heartfelt Janet told of her journey and how she arrived at this season of her life. It is a home decor book with some DIY tips and restoration strategies but, it is sooo much more.... it is her story of healing and her quest to make a new (to her) home a safe and calm haven full of light and new beginnings. Each page, a little reminder to enjoy the simple moments and appreciate both the "White and Faded" that life brings you. This book was preordered for me as part of my Mother's Day - it was worth the wait and a gift that I will cherish always.

I began following Janet on Instagram a few years ago. I instantly fell in love with her decor vision, and her "realness." I received "White and Faded" just 2 days ago and promised myself that I would resist looking eagerly through the book at only the photos! Well, I have completely fallen in love with her beautiful book! I've been reading every page and I'm almost finished, not wanting to put it down. I must have 30 decor books but by far, "White and Faded is off the charts!. It is so much more than decor. Janet shares so much of her own story and I found myself gasping at how much I was relating to her words as she shared her difficult times. Thank you dear Janet for your genuine heart and for allowing yourself to be vulnerable. I truly believe it's in sharing our gut wrenching experiences that we in turn give others permission to remove their own masks, seeing their own beauty.

I’ve followed the author on IG for sometime now and love, love her aesthetic!This read is such a lovely combination of a women’s personal journey of beautiful and timeless gatherings for her home and the reflections of herself while taking her journey. Wonderful source book for your own home.

Take some time out of the day to recharge your heart & mind as you read Janet's story. Her journey may be familiar to some & resonated with my own. Beauty from ashes came to my mind. This book, of inspirational living is a must for all who love interior design, but as an added bonus it restores your heart, soul & mind, even if it's just a few moments out of your day.I wholeheartedly recommend this book and will buy again as the perfect gift for family & friends.
