Voyager Free 60+ UC

To clarify on my Title, while I have no issue comparing these ear buds to the Apples and Bose earbuds that are out there, this is definitely more for work, with calls and teleconferencing becoming so much easier since using Poly Voyager. When I unboxed the earbuds, the setup and connection to my phone was pretty seamless with some errors that occurred in the app, but the ear buds connected seamlessly. The touch case is a cool feature. At first I was worried it would be a little gimmicky, but its actually pretty simplified and seamless to use. The app is also pretty straightforward without too much going on that it makes it confusing. It was a little challenging to find the settings portion where stuff actually can be changed and getting directions on how to use the ear buds for controls, as well as what the various ANC and transparency settings mean. A number of the things that I like: the noise cancelling is good quality and does a great job covering people's voice or other background now. The mics also do a good job picking up your voice for calls with High fidelity. The sound quality is amazing on these. Voices come across extremely clearly during calls and music sounds great with clear high notes and good bass. On other high quality ear buds, it seems like clarity or bass need to be sacrificed, but not with these. One of my other favorite things is the seamless transition from calls on the computer to phone with no work from me. The range is also phenomenal from the computer with the USB-C dongle provided in the case. The only downsides to this earbud. These aren't truly all purpose as there is no waterproof rating and honestly these aren't sturdy enough to stay in the ear during exercise. I have to regularly adjust them if i am walking with them in. To update the case you have to be connected to the computer which feels clunky instead of being able to download updates from the phone. Overall these are great earbuds for work and I look forward to continue using them as its made work meetings so much easier to take.

See my review for the MOST disappointing product I ever bought; the earpiece from this same company called the Poly Voyager 5200. For this set of garbage,however, I can't believe I can only rate down to a 1 star. It deserves zero stars. This was junk. It had promise, at first. But the fit was nonexistent. Absolutely the worst "fit" I ever have experienced with earbuds. Will not go in the ear. Period. No way no how. So sometimes just chewing my jerky while operating farm equipment would cause one of them to literally fall out of my ear. Mainly because I could basically not even feel whether they were still on there or not. They literally just sat there dangling out of my ears. Forget trying to lean over and pick something up. Bloop. Right in the sand. But the promise I mentioned was with the sound. They did have quite nice sound, just not worth trying to hold both earbuds in my ears while trying to operate farm equipment or bale hay. A little hard to do that with both hands stuck to the side of your head trying to hear the song you are listening to. And don't even get me started on the voice microphones. Supposed to be the best in the industry. Not even close. Just plain ole barely does get it where the person on the other end of the call can understand some of what I say. Especially if my hands were there trying to hold them in my ears so I could hear them saying "I can't hear you, it must be breaking up". Unbelievably infuriating. Then, every couple hours I had to put them in the case to recharge. Terrible battery "life". More like battery moment. But maybe half the time I put them in the charging case, the left earbud would not even make a connection with the 1930's-era design of the contact points between the buds and case. Were these just supposed to be partly nostalgic? This is the 2020's for crying out loud. Why do these things not have induction charging, especially for the price? Dumb. So, the left earbud hardly ever was charged when I'd pull them out to use them. @#$#$$@#@!!!! I'd be so mad. Even after sitting there overnight. Man. I literally got out of my pickup once and grabbed my 16# sledgehammer to do these things in, but then remembered how much I'd paid for them. And how long I'd been eyeing this brand for their supposed quality of mic noise cancelling for running equipment. Like finally getting to marry your high school crush, and then she dies of cancer a week later. Okay, maybe not quite that bad, but still on the same order of WTF. But what finally sent me over the edge was when that left earpiece, that already sucked even worse than the right one, just up and decided it would not ever again connect to the charging case. Not ever again. And it was only a few minutes later that it literally died. Not able to charge. I had done everything they asked. Downloaded the app. Reset. Off. On. Recase. Re-sync. Dead. That's it, I am throwing this junk in the garbage, along with my Dad's Poly Voyager 5200 earpiece that was even worse than these, and I will never purchase another product from this company again. I am going back to the Delton earpieces we had before. Not bad, and they actually fit and work quite well. Some of the better ones I ever had. For earbuds, I am going back to my Jabra Elite 7 Pro's because they sound amazing. And they work so good. Noise cancelling is great. But they just do not have any noise filtering for the microphone. So I cannot make calls with them unless I am in a library sitting next to the librarian. Forget it on a farm tractor. Nevertheless, a thousand times better product than this garbage from Poly. Just wanted everyone on Amazon to know my experience with these Plantronics/Polycom products was nothing but a total disaster, and maybe even a rip-off.

There's a lot to like with the Free 60, but the issues and call quality don't really match the price point and overshadow the good. I purchased these as soon as they were available to replace my lost 5200. For me, sound is great on a set of buds but I need call quality to be even better. I know there will probably never be zero noise reduction while taking a call outside or in a coffee shop (the 5200 was very close), but these earbuds don't even come close to noise reduction. Any gust of wind or car passing in a distance can be heard clearly. Call/mic quality is simply lacking. Popping sound when closing car door. Sounds of clicking from the adaptive ANC when on a call (stopped when turning off ANC or changing to Standard). Also had to constantly reposition the buds to be heard better. This wasn't just a one time thing either. Almost every call I had to do some type of shifting, repositioning, or removing. But there's a lot good here too. Premium quality, good sound, good ANC, friendly app, and excellent case with great features! I've had several Poly headsets so I know the brand is synonyms with quality so I didn't mind the high price point. Maybe these issues will eventually get fixed or improved with updates. But, for now, I'll have to pass and get these returned for something with better call quality.

Not really had any high-end earbuds, last set I had was about £100, didn't have noise canceling, sounded ok and only connected to one device. Along come the Poly Voyager 60+ and my whole listening experience has changed! Comes in a box that is not overly fancy but more functional with the star of the show in it and also some very good instructions and everything you need. Was fully charged out of the box and paired with my personal mobile phone with very little problem, I then downloaded the Poly lens app to my phone and connected the Poly Voyager to that, immediately it asked to update the earbuds and charger unit, wasn't a quick process, took about ten mins but it did it on the first attempt and without any drama. never had noise canceling on any of my earbuds so really cant comment on any other products or how it compares but can say it did what i was expecting it to do. i then paired this to my work phone and laptop and could easily select what device i wanted to use through the touch screen on the charger unit, i had no problem with this and it went to each device i selected flawlessly. I used the dongle in the charging case with the supplied USB c to USB adapter that is in the box on my aging PC that has no Bluetooth on it and again, using the touch screen it switched to that with no problem at all. now the party piece. using the supplied 3.5 jack to USB c connecter that was supplied in the box, i connected my tv to the charging unit selected BT transmitter and i had my TV connected to the earbuds, no messing around with trying to get a Bluetooth module for the TV and then trying to pair it, just plug and play, amazing. Had these on for a couple of hours and really didn't even notice they were there, very comfortable and lightweight. How do they sound i hear you say, i was blown away! I listened to everything from old school hardcore to soft rock and the balance in sound is amazing, really low bass, decent mids and crisp trebles, i have never had anything sound this good, again i was absolutely blown away. tried them whilst on a voice and video call and again was very clear and the noise canceling was a great feature as i was in a busy office at the time, when asking my colleagues who i was talking to at the time how my voice sounded as i was using the earbuds, they all said it was crystal clear and honestly didn't think i was in the office as normally the background noise was a lot louder! I absolutely love these earbuds, they perform well, are comfortable and switch between multiple devices including the in built Bluetooth transmitter flawlessly. Would i buy these if i lost them or broke them, hell yeah, in a heartbeat ;-)
