Powerful and Smart Design
I've only used this in a large freshwater swimming pool but the power is awesome for such a compact unit. It easily pulls 6'4, 230 pound men around with no problem all afternoon. The kit comes with hardware to attach unit to surfboard/rudder fin and to a camera. The USB battery charging access port is under the nosecone and comes with easy to understand assembly instructions. All thumb button controls are located on one arm for easy speed changes. This scooter is a lot of fun for pool party and so far is performing well. Can't wait to try it out at the beach. Good build and smart design.

Stopped working after first use
I don't know if it's the battery or not but for some reason it worked like one charge and now it doesn't work or it's not charging really was looking forward to this

Fun pool toy
This is a fun little scooter - we use it in our pool and works well. Not super fast but you don't have to kick at all while using it. The wrist band is very helpful so you don't loose it underwater - this unit does not float so if you let go you would need to dive after it if you didn't have the band on. I think this would be excellent for snorkeling but I don't have anywhere nearby to use it for that. The motor is quiet but you can still hear it under water. The battery should be charged the night before using as if you leave it sit the battery drains slowly and will be dead in a month. Once going it lasts for about 40 min.

A welcome boost for my paddle board
Riding around on my paddle board is fun, though it is a bit slow and there are plenty of times I'll throw a seat on it so I can paddle it around like a kayak. Honestly, I think I like riding it like this more than standing, it isn't as efficient as a kayak, but it's not that far off from a sit on top either and it is nice to be able to slide off the board and swim around a bit. Having a motor attached to the bottom of the paddle board helps quite a bit with the slow nature of moving around on the lake with it, and while I'm not exactly leaving a wake behind me, the boost is quite welcome, and it definitely makes it a lot easier to move around. While this can be used as a water scooter as well, I don't use it for that purpose so my opinion is based purely on its use on a paddle board.Pros: - Attaches with extreme ease, you just slide your rudder out and slide this in. It locks in securely, yet it is still easy to remove when you want to. - It's not super-fast by any means, but the extra thrust really helps when paddling. - The battery charges fairly quickly considering. - Controls are simple, and the remote never seems to have any connection issues.Cons: - The battery life in full thrust is under an hour. They say 60 minutes, but it is more like 45, and I could live with that if I could hot swap a new battery into it, but they only give you one. - The battery compartment in the nose is kind of awkward and once the cap is off, you've additionally got to attach a cable to the battery itself. For comparison I have a water scooter that has a couple batteries and those swap out as simply as you would swap batteries on a cordless drill.Overall, it's not bad but there are definitely opportunities for improvement, all of which revolve around the battery. I feel that this would offer a better value if it came with an additional battery so that you could get a more practical run time out of it. I also feel that it needs a battery compartment redesign as it is fairly cumbersome and awkward to work with. That being said, it charges reasonably fast, and it offers a level of thrust I'd expect for a product in this price range.

honestly, this is mostly a fail
Lots of the reviews are being pretty charitable, but this is ultimately undersized, underpowered, and a bit flaky. When it's working, it can pull a 200 lbs adult.... very... slowly. On high, it can pull a 50 lbs child at an average/easy swim pace, roughly strolling speed; my 8yo can definitely out-swim it, though if it didn't keep shutting down, it would presumably outlast him. I'd call it useful speed for a kid, but not a thrill ride; it's pretty much useful at pulling an adult.Construction seemed pretty solid, but it's physically much smaller than you would expect; give it points for portability, but it's just not really up to the job. Waterproofing seems very sound where it counts, though the apparently-mostly-hollow chassis takes on, then disgorges, a surprising amount of water. The design, with a removable control handle that doubles as a remote, is pretty good; but the button functions are not terrifically intuitive, and two of the buttons rest under your palm while using the trigger, risking accidental presses. The directions are terrible; both the instructions and the box's labelling contain lots of failed English and typos, making it feel like a half-baked product, despite the otherwise well-done packaging. I had no trouble with the battery life, but in part because the unit kept failing and turning itself off. (Perhaps because it can only run briefly in High mode??) This is supposed to be usable under a SUP, where it would be out of convenient reach; with repeat failures requiring a restart, that's just not a practical option. It wasn't a whole lot of fun for the kids, either, who had it stop, leaving them to tread water while trying to power it back up, way too frequently. The display is nice out of the water, but it's blue... not ideal contrast while in use under the water. It's also heavier than water, so it sinks straight away; neutral buoyancy would have been preferable, though it does come with two straps to attach it to your person.Overall, I can't find a space where this was competent, and at most uses, it failed utterly. I have several other products from the same manufacturer, and would otherwise recommend them for well-priced / decent-quality products, but I can't recommend this one at all, even at a hugely discounted price.
