I charge them during the day and then turn on and put them on a patio table in the evening and leave on over night. The mosquitos are attracted to the light and fly in and are zapped instantly. They make no noise, the battery seems to last about 10 hours. Easy to clear off the bugs with the little brush included. Works great. Simple to use.

Used two of them on our sailboat and did a good job. This is a second pair for our house. Lots of mosquitoes and the like in Florida

It says to use for 48 initially. But the charge doesn’t hold that long. I had it on through the night. A few bugs in the light but I didn’t see a single mosquito body

These little gems are quite the work horses. Because there’s no electric outlet inside my under-sink cabinet - where the kitchen waste can resides - I have to constantly change out the two little lanterns and recharge them at my desk. Which is the reason for the four-not- five stars evaluation: the built-in batteries aren’t very efficient. Have stated that, the lanterns do their job , keeping the occasional invasion of tiny fruit flies in check. Shaking and brushing out the tiny bug carcasses is easy enough - just wish that I could have more time in-between those tasks.

I bought the set of two, as it seemed to be two for the price of one. However, when I got them and tried them, one of them emitted a high pitched whine, like the very annoying sound of some kind of tiny insect in your ear -- except I could hear it at a distance of like ten feet. Not loud at all, quiet enough that if people are talking or there is some other noise, you might not notice the irritating piercing little whine. But when there is no other sound, the piercing whine is quite annoying, almost physically irritating. Well, I started using the other one, which did not have that annoying little whine -- at first it didn't. Now it, too, has developed that penetrating, low decibel whine. On the plus side, it did catch many fruit flies or drain flies and a number of small moths. I won't buy this again because while some might not notice the sound much, to me it is really a kind of torture.

Got these zappers when the mosquito population exploded as an aftereffect of frequent and heavy rains in Southeast Texas. Just the task of opening the back door would "suck in" a number of the pests into the house and needed some help in getting rid of them. It was hard to watch TV at night while swatting the occasional pest and wake up in the morning with a few bites during the night. Placed one near the back door and one in the kitchen area. After several days and many dead mosquitos later, we had gained control of the living area. The rechargeable feature was convenient. As soon as one went dark, recharge and turn it back on to give continuous protection. Even got a few troublesome gnats, too!

I love these. They are quiet and only make noise when it gets a bug. I leave these on at night and it even kills the little gnats that were flying around my indoor plants.

Seem to work great,, I’ll know by summer,, when the mosquitos are out more!!

Not effective and not rechargeable

The product is not rechargeable as is mentioned on the page. The seller is misleading the customers.

This product is the worst ever. The description says 2 pcs i.e 2 charging chords and 2 mosquitos zappers to be delivered but I got only one unit. The unit that I sent didn’t have a turnon/off as shown in the image. The unit only glowed when connected to the usb cable and it didn’t turn on the other times. Thoroughly annoyed with the product and the mosquitoes and insects!
