Very heavy, they are sharp, but not very sharp. I was unable to cut the backbone to spatchcock the chicken.

Great product. Cuts Great and slices better. Easy to use for someone with bigger hands though, My wife has a hard time using them for short girl with small hands. Other than that still a great product.

These are really good poultry shears. They don’t require a lot of effort to cut through bone when necessary. Cutting up a whole chicken is fast easy work, especially with one blade having a serrated edge. I really like the handle design since it makes holding and cutting with the scissors easy.

I got these specifically to cut chicken wings at the joints before frying or grilling them.I have medium sized women’s hands. I wear size 7 in gloves, and I have long fingers. I found these to spring open to slightly larger than my hand can comfortably grab, and when my hands are slick with chicken juice, I felt clumsy using these and had to be extra careful.They are sharp and they cut through the joints of the chicken wings easily. For my hand size, I wish they didn’t spring open quite so far. I ordered the green and received the green ones as expected. I can’t tell what the handles are made from. The blades are stainless steel, but the handles seem like resin or hard plastic?They have a pleather case, which I appreciate. When they arrive, they smell like machine oil and need to be washed off well before using. They look well-made and they open and close smoothly. There is a little hook to keep them closed, like on a pair of garden pruners. You could use these in your garden as well as the kitchen.

The best kitchen scissors I have used, but I have never had a proper pair of chicken cutting scissors like this before.The price is higher then what I would pay for a pair of kitchen scissors, being over $20, ... but that is because i only cook once in a while, and usually for only a few people.I have kept a pair of scissors by my stove for years, when i do cook, I use them all the time, now I have a better pair to use.Just as quality as any similar pair of cutting sheers that I am aware of.Feels good in my handsSpring back when you cut with them.I do like them

These kitchen shears do the job. We use them mostly to cut up chicken but also for other meats and some veggies as well. They are heavy duty and much better than the old kitchen shears they are replacing which came with a kitchen cutlery set in a block. Like some other reviewers here, we received the wrong color too- ordered the gold and received the red. Other than that, they work perfectly fine. Recommend.

Ordered the red, ended up with the gold, not a huge deal as it doesn't affect functionality, the gold finish is glitter sparkly-ish. Great big shears with a really nice blade design. I'm not a huge fan of the handle, it wasn't intuitive in that as a man, I'm only fitting 3 fingers in the finger grooves and I either dangle a pinky or put my index above the the groove which looks like the way it was intended. I know all the cutting power is mostly in the first 2-3 inches of the blades, so changing the grip is fine but it feels like these force a "posture" that I'm not innately used to.I'm not sure during the normal course of use the forced ergonomics are necessary but they do fit in with the big nature of these poultry shears.

These shears are heavy duty! Unfortunately I received these yellow ones instead of the red ones I that I ordered, obviously that doesn’t take away from the quality, just a personal preference.Very well designed, sharp and love that they come with a sheath so they are easy to pack up for car camping, tailgating etc. You will want to give them a good wash or wipe once you receive since they are greasy from the oil used in factory to prevent rust. Just wipe it off and worry no more.
