Favorite mascara
This has been my go-to brand for mascara for probably 10+ years. In college, I developed an allergy to most mascaras (I'm still not sure which ingredient I am allergic to). I would get a terribly itchy rash on my eyelids with other brands. I switched to this brand and haven't looked back. The price is very reasonable, application is smooth and easy and the result is fabulous. But best of all, this one doesn't give me a rash or make me itchy. The only downside is the containers seem to dry out fairly quickly but probably not any faster than any other brand. I would highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a great price for a good product.

Are you kidding! This is great!
This is a review for theBalm Mad Lash Mascara. This is my review after first application.I've been searching for a true lengthening mascara thats clean looking, doesn't flake or cake up upon 2nd coat, especially on the corner lashes.I've tried at least 5 new mascaras in the past few months including Clinique, Buxom and L'Oreal. Benefit Cosmetics Roller Lash Curling & Lifting Mascara has been my favorite for over a year now but not seeing the same results anymore and needed a new favorite. This is it. I applied this at 2pm and took this picture at 10pm. I used an eye lash curler and applied 2ish coats. No flaking. Really extended my lashes and most importantly made me feel a little more beautiful today. 5 stars!

Staying power during the day!
This is a really great mascara that should work well for anyone. One of the best parts about it is that it has absolutely NO smudging, smearing, fallout, transitioning, racooning, whatever you want to call it, throughout the day. It does volumize and gives a nice curl, but you may need an extra coat after a few hours because the formula is so soft (i.e. it doesn't really harden and lock the lashes into position, which can be either a positive or a negative depending on your preference). The only issue for me as to why I'm not giving it 5 stars is that sometimes I like to sleep in my mascara, WHICH APPARENTLY YOU SHOULD NEVER DO BUT I DO IT ANYWAY, and it does not stay on well after sleeping. However, other mascaras that I use that do stay on well after sleeping have a lot of transition onto the skin throughout the day. I've been applying this one onto the bottom eyelashes and a different one on the top to curb that issue. Recommend!

Best Mascara Ever
I have been using the same tube for a couple of months and it has not run out. I get compliments every time I wear it. Today I saw another brand and had to buy it because of the hype. I did a comparison on each eye. The other brand did not come close to this one. Usually my mascaras dry up pretty quickly but not this one. I highly recommend this mascara.

Mixed bag
The color is not a true black and certainly not a deep black; more of a black-grey. Rather disappointed as I wanted a true, deep, rich black. The lengthening is slightly better than average but the "volume" aspect is just not there. 3+ coats and still couldn't achieve those had with MAC and Mally. The one thing it really does have going for it is its wear: it doesn't flake, doesn't smudge after drying, even after sleeping in it. MAC has a major problem with the massive flaking by end of day, which is why I tried this one. Mally has just gotten stupid expensive and hard to find except on their site (Amazon doesn't carry the version preferred). The brush is lackluster, as well. Because it has that weird ball-barb thing on the end of it, getting globs is the par, even with major amounts of dabbing onto tissue, side of tube, etc. It is as if it just holds onto the mascara and pushes it around instead of letting it go onto the tissue, etc. for removal. The dry-time is so-so. I have never had an issue with the ends of my lashes streaking the upper lid during application but this stuff does and does not want to come off once it touches the surrounding makeup. As such, I keep my eyes at half-mast while it dries. In the end, I have turned to adding a final coat of the MAC along the base to give it that punch of black against the white of the eyes as well as they extra oomph of volume.Really was hoping that this was "the one" but, alas, the search continues. Comparable to Lancome/Luxury Brands
I had been using Lancome's Definicils mascara for years as my holy grail until they recently changed the formula and brush (by the way, has anyone else noticed this???), so I've been looking for something comparable for months. My natural lashes are fairly long but I am always hunting for good lengthening mascaras. I had been using L'Oreal's Telescopic Carbon Black on the recommendation of beauty bloggers, but it dried out so quickly that it was nearly useless. Then I found this. This mascara is wonderful, and this particular duo set is an incredibly bargain (a single tube is $17). The curve of wand is not really interesting or helpful, but the wand itself is great for lengthening and separating. The formula is thin enough that you have time to layer it on but not so thin that it feels wet and drippy. It does not flake, and it even stayed on when I teared up when cutting onions. Overall this is a solid mascara and when these two tubes run out, I'll certainly repurchase.

Not for straight eyelashes.
Not for straight eyelashes. Did not hold curl and is clumpy.
