General Mills Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem Cinnamon Apple With Marshmallows Breakfast Cereal, Limited Edition, Family Size, 17.8 oz

For me, this is pure nostalgia. I grew up in the 80s, with pure sugar cereals like this and Saturday morning cartoon, including the original TMNT. I admit, keeping up with the turtles remains a guilty pleasure, both in the comics and the shows. This was a total throwback treat. By flavor, it's tastes like someone took a box of Apple Jacks and threw in the marshmallows from a box of Lucky Charms. By nutrition, it's basically a bowl of milk and sugar. It's not something that would grace my adult shelves regularly, but just this once, why not?

I requested a refund because of how terrible this cereal tastes. It is nothing like the original Ninja turtles cereal and the artificial flavoring on the Cinnamon Apple is too much it tastes like some type of perfume or something. I do not recommend this, save yourself the agony.

My kids loved it, said it reminded them of Apple Jacks with the fun of their newest obsession, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! We have since bought 2 more boxes at Target.
