I've been spending more time preparing food and I've always been someone that is overly practical. My previous kitchen knife was from a store that sells things for a dollar (.25).Intellectually, I understand why someone would mortgage their home to buy a high quality knife set, but that person just ain't me, at least not until I move to Miami and start selling high quality baking powder in the bathroom of the neighborhood discoteque. In the mean time, the edges out of the box are incredibly sharp. I cut the ever living eff out of my finger why cleaning the blade (my error, not the blade's fault). But having them for a while, I am notices that they aren't holding their edges particularly well. I haven't gotten around to sharpening yet, but for the review, my thinking is, the more often that you have to sharpen a blade for normal use, then the faster the blade will be sharpened away to nothing. You know, since sharpening is removing material from the knife.Solid 4🌟 product. I don't regret buying at all. Solid little set. I'd say these are great gateway knives.... these will definitely walk you into being more okay with buying expensive knives. They perform very well for their discount price.
