While I do want to be environmentally conscious, especially with one use plastic zip lock bags, I find these very hard to use. The silicone is nice and thick, but is hard to seal as the two grooves are very tight and sliding the wood closer on them is very difficult unless you manually stick the grooves together beforehand. Very hard to use and not very effective when the point is to make it easier to be eco friendly. Not sure if I can switch to silicone bags anytime soon, I might just stick with reusable glass containers.

I like the idea behind this as you can reuse the bags instead of throwing away plastic zip bags. I like that they are dishwasher safe. They have markings on the side as well, so you know how much you have in there. I filled one with water to test out. You need to have the bamboo slider attached to ensure they are leak-proof.The only gripe I have about this is that the sliders are not easy to put on. One of them was slightly looser and easier to remove and put on but the other two took a bit of effort. There are little loops one once side which helps you to open the bag. I wish they would have put loops on the other side as well as it would help to close the bag. I find that it's easier to slide on the bamboo slider after pinching the bag close. Also, when trying to zip the bag with water, it tended to spurt out due to it being hard to slide. It should not be an issue with dry items.I also like that it is freezer and microwave safe so that you can just take your frozen foods and microwave them in the bag without having to use another container.

I didn't expect to love these bags as much as I do! I've used reusable baggies before and never liked that they needed to be set out a certain way to dry properly. I decided to use these ones for storage in my bathroom instead.The design is so intentional and seamless. I love the look of the bamboo slider bar and it works perfectly. I loved the look and quality of these so much that I actually set them on display on a shelf in my bathroom. One of them in particular is holding bath salts and a scoop and I'm astounded at how much it holds - and I'm easily able to carry it by the slider bar!I simply cannot recommend these enough for home organization and I will absolutely be purchasing more!

I've been wanting to generate less waste, and silicone bags seem like the answer to that. If you don't want to do any hand-washing, you need to get thick bags that can withstand the heat of your dishwasher. And these are some thick and chunky bags. There are skinny colorful bags that say they are dishwasher safe, but if you read the fine print they really aren't. They always say things like don't use heated drying. Not these ones!Besides all that, I really like some of the added features these have. The flat bottom is great for easy filling. And the measurements on the side help with portioning out soups and other liquids. Probably my favorite feature are the bamboo bars. They help guarantee a good seal for traveling.As far as downsides, there is a slight silicone smell at first, but it goes away after washing. Also, I have the mediums and they are a bit tall for my liking. Shorter and wider would be more stable. Otherwise, I really like these. It's good space saving alternative to plastic food storage containers.

I would ask for a replacement for the bamboo pieces- but it shows I have to send the broken pieces back (at my expense I see) and they will send an exact replacement of the full product. I would gladly return them if they provide the postage/shipping to do so. Poor quality bamboo. Loved the idea though. Just not sustainable for use.

Good solution for storing food items and avoiding disposable bags. When I have small left overs (e.g. apple, avocado) I always wonder if it's worth to store them (using a non-eco-friendly disposable bag for potentially not eating them later), eat them even if I am satisfied or just waste the fruit. This reusable bag will a solution for those cases. I have been using them for fridge storage and work great - I picked the assorted sizes and it's a good size mix. You don't really need bamboo slider to store, unless you want to be extra safe of avoiding spills. Another good use would be for sending school snacks for my kids, but I am afraid they will loose them.
