The Boy of a Thousand Faces

The Boy Of A Thousand Faces is a great book! The monster illustrations are great spooky drawings! And even though it's a little short, it's a really good book! I really enjoy reading all of Brian Selznick's great books!

My struggling middle school readers like this story. So much so, that they keep "losing" copies (meaning they're keeping them). Even though it's written for an elementary reader, it has important identity issues that middle schoolers really relate to.

The first book of Brian's I was called to look over, was The Invention of Hugo Cabret'. The story was truly delightful. I so loved how you got to read a few written pages and then discovered the rest of the story in "hand drawn" pictures. I found the experience totally charming.I read the book alone at first, and shared it with my grand niece who is 13, she loved the story as much as I.I totally recommend this author, for adult delight as well as childhood wonder.

This is basically a comic book like the other books by this author. I have a non-reader who I am trying to rope in and this is a good start. I wish there was a bit more to it but she was on to his next book and that had more text- I think our next step will be graphic novels.

Teenagers today see few of the classics... particularly when they're in black & white!... this book introduces some of the all-time greats in early horror cinema in a fun & inventive & creative way... My grandson loved this book & read it many times...

Superb! I bought it to read to my 8 year old grandson, but I might have to wait until he is 9 or 10. Still, it is a wonderful story, well told and beautifully illustrated.

I bought this book for my grand-daughter and we both enjoyed it tremendously. This is a book for anyone who ever spent Saturdays watching old horror movies as a child!

Fantastic Selznick illustrations. The story is a heart warming story, which is a bonus since I buy Selznick for the pictures. Well done, Brian. this will become a classic and family favorite!
