Easy to install and does the job
These are great! Do exactly what I wanted- holding trellis above the fence. I worried that the bracket would be too visible/shiny, but it’s not as bad as I feared and I expect it will ‘dull down’ with the weather. Easy to install and sturdy, I’ve already seen a cat wandering along the top with no wobbling of the trellis. Overall, worth the investment!

Good value
The product is a great idea and very sturdy. We had a problem because two of our concrete posts were too narrow at the top to slot the post fix metal in to. Not really the products fault but it was a problem for us. Had to get my son to cut the fixers down the length so just half was inserted. The metal was far to thick to use a hacksaw.Looks very nice now.

Excellent and do the job perfectly
Excellent post extenders and do the job perfectly.Easy to attach to trellis with small screws and there are plenty of holes through which to screw… although you won’t need all of them. Fit perfectly in the channels of the concrete fence posts. Depending upon how tight your posts are to the fence panel you might need a plank of wood to push open the gap to allow these to be inserted but that’s not a fault of the item.Holds the trellis in very sturdy. My cats walk across the top of these with ease as they don’t move, however trellis on my neighbours fence which doesn’t have these wobbles a lot

May need some 'jiggling'
We bought these for the tops of our new fence. I asked the fencers to drop the fence panels during fittingby a couple of inches compared to the tops of the posts, which would make the trellis sturdier, but there's no requirement for this - your panels can be level with the concrete posts and it will still work. The metal supports, which are 50cm long, slide down between the panel and the concrete posts by 20cm, if your trellis is 30cm (1ft). 20cm of metal support is hidden between the panel and the post. This is why it's so strong. If you have 45cm trellis (foot and a half), you'll only have 5cm of metal support below the trellis, and between the panel and the post, so less strength, however, you don't necessarily need the metal to be level with the top of the trellis, and could drop it down to ensure it's secure. The metal is notched with feint centimetre marks so you can see how far it's gone down.We fitted the supports to the concrete posts first, then offered up the trellis into the gap, rather than screwing the supports to the trellis first.Cons, which are not the product's fault:1. Your concrete posts are unlikely to be a perfect fit for these metal supports, and may take your brute strength to bang them in. Use a lump hammer and a piece of wood over the end of the metal or you'll damage them. We had to use a grinder on one of the posts due to excessive concrete in the groove.2. The dimensions of trellis are usually 180cm x 30cm. You'll usually find fence panels are 6ft or 183cm. This means your fence panel is marginally bigger than the trellis by a 3cm difference. Before you buy your trellis MEASURE it if you think you're getting 183cm. They're often listed online as 183, but when you get them, they're 180. You'll need to pack out the 1.5cm gap at either end between the trellis and the metal support. This made the whole operation more arduous than it needed to be, although was resolved by a visit to our local fence merchant from whom we got slithers of timber precisely cut to 1.5cm for this very purpose! As long as you're good with a saw you'll get a neat edge and you won't even notice it's been packed out. You then screw through the pre-made holes in the metal, through the slither of wood and into the trellis to secure it all.3. The gap between each trellis is unavoidable, but presumably, if you're buying this you're aware and are OK with it.Overall: VERY PLEASED!
