Horrible coil whine
This was the only motherboard available in Canada in m-ATX size with top gpu slot and optical audio output excluding the $800 Asus X670 Gene.Unfortunately it is an extremely noisy board. I've noticed 3 distinct noises from this board even after exchanging for a new one.-RGB on cooler has a quiet buzz-CPU has a more annoying electrical sound and almost high pitched beeping-When memory XMP is enabled (Corsair Vengeance 5600MHz CL36) the board produces an unbearable high pitched noise that I can hear from the hallway.I've tried removing the gpu and running igpu, changing cpu from 7950x to 7700x, disabling xmp, changing the power supply, as well as BIOS updates and other BIOS setting changes commonly recommended to alleviate coil whine.Short of replacing the CPU cooler (I have tried disabling the pump and fans on the AIO and the noise remains) and memory sticks I have tried changing every other component. I will be testing another set of ram and will update this review if it resolves the coil whine.Update: Replacing the ram resolved the whine from XMP enabled. Other coil whines remains. I was able to reduce the volume of the coil whine by setting vcore to static 1.2v, and completely turning off any RGB, however it is still audible.Other cons-I cannot find a way to save RGB settings to motherboard. The motherboard always boots with default colour before gigabyte control center loads and corrects it-Flashing bios requires that the bios file be renamed to "gigabyte.bin". Instructions from their site does not mention this for Q-Flash within BIOS-RGB customization through Gigabyte control center is extremely barebones. The board itself functions fine and did not have any stability issues in stock settings. However I cannot recommend it as it would be near impossible to sit next to the computer for extended durations due to the noise.

3/4 ram ports are broken, will not boot with 2 sticks of ram in any configuration
3 out of 4 ram ports are broken and will not boot if a ram stick is put in any port that isn't A1, this is absolutely infuriating as I am already so far into this build so to be restricted to only 1 ram slot is unredeemable

Hard to beat
Has all the feature you need and more at half the price of most am5 boards out there in this current market. Am5 is still somewhat fresh. The board worked right away nothing dead altough I did have trouble getting a boot screen but it was because of the ram stick position and XMP, please do read the manual, they exist for a reason. Will update if any issues arise with the board.

Do not buy a Gigabyte 650 board of any model.
Coil whine like you wouldn't believe. I can't capture the frequency with my phone camera, but it's just indescribable, like a dog whistle connected to a steam engine. My PC sits beside my monitor on my desk and the coil whine is so strong I had a migraine within 20 minutes. I spent the next 12 hours trying every fix I could find, and none worked. What I did learn in that time is that this issue persists across the entire range of Gigabyte 650 mobos. I've seen complaints for every one of this range of boards individually. This has the best I/O and layout of the current gen matx, but unfortunately it's just unusable.I went with the MSI MORTAR to replace it as I need the pile of USB, and this is being sent back immediately.Seriously, skip Gigabyte this generation.

Terrible coil whine- AVOID!
Took a gamble on this board despite the warnings of bad coil whine. Huge mistake. It has extremely loud and annoying coil whine AT ALL TIMES, even when completely idle. I tried fixing it by tinkering with voltages in the bios but nothing worked.I returned this board and got the asrock riptide instead
