Attaching any vent hose is a task that takes patience and learning. The dual-layered design of this vent hose appears durable, and once you manage to fit the ends around the dryer and exhaust vent openings (take your time, grasshopper, patience leads to learning), you can screw down the clamps and be back in business. Yes, dryer vent hoses are a pain in the butt to attach, but this one is at least robust enough to survive the process.

To the people having a hard time installing. Easiest thing to do is stretch the opening a bit and unroll the rubbery outside then put your fingers behind the first ridge and kind of roll the hose onto the exhaust or vent opening. Then just place the ring over the hose and screw it tightly onto the hose. Remember just stretch the opening a tiny bit it'll be tightened by the ring anyways. Went right on for me.

I installed this flexible dryer vent hose on my clothes dryer yesterday. The quality appeared to be satisfactory. I can't speak to the durability because I just installed it.My biggest complaint is that it was extremely difficult to get on and I consider myself a pretty good handyman. I tried peeling back the outer layer as some have suggested, but that just resulted in the wire separating from the inner layer too. If the diameter of the hose had been made about 1/8" to 1/4" greater, it would have been a piece of cake to install.As it was, it turned a 15 minute job into a one hour job. Not happy. FWIW, I used the existing "squeeze" tension clamps from my old hose because I prefer them to the screw/worm type clamps that came with the new hose.

This appears to be an excellent product. Our dryer fits in a tight alcove, vented directly outside. We needed a connecting duct that could be extended about six feet between the dryer and a 4” vent pipe, then collapsed to a few inches as the dryer was pushed in. This worked perfectly, with the helpful guidance of a broom handle. Both ends are unfinished, and it was simple to cut to the length desired. Yes, the ends are a tight fit, but that’s good. They appear air-tight even before installing the pipe clamps. Just start with the cover at the end of the coil wire and work your way around. The cover can be stretched and pulled a bit without tearing. Durability is unknown, but the duct feels and looks substantial. The carton is unlabeled. The duct is probably not UL approved but I’m not concerned. We’ll keep an eye on it.

Not sure how many stars to give because quality is great and is exactly what we were looking for. It is foil insulated and safe for hot dryer ventilation. But, it will not fit on the pipe that runs from the outside. We tried everything it is just too small. My take is it is a tiny bit smaller than 4 inch and the out pipe is a tiny bit bigger than 4 inches. With a little effort it fit on the dryer connection .. barely! Wished it would have worked..

While connecting it to the dryer was a bit tricky given the short length of the vent attached to the dryer, the installation wasnt difficult. easy to clamp it with the included rings. Material looks like it will be durable; good strength wires that provide sufficient support for the hose. overall, an excellent value - and I didnt have to walk aisle after aisle in a gigantic store to get one item.... yo should consider to get some flexitape as well, for added support.

Reading other reviews, I was prepared to spend an hour doing battle with this hose. I stretched both ends for a short bit before trying to attach it to the vent and then to the dryer, and I was done in about 10 minutes, including time spent opening the package and then pushing the dryer around.After stretching it, I got the hose part way over the vent, and then twisted it like a screw onto the exhaust and it went on fairly easily. Looks well made and insulated, didn't tear. If i had two dryers I would buy a second one.

What can I say, its a Hose. lol. It works as expected and is strong and flexible enough to do the job as far as hoses go. It looks good to. it is a good buy and a good product at an affordable price. Priced affordably enough to replace it, instead of cleaning it out when the time comes. I would buy it again.As always and Forever.Semper Fidelis.
