I really, really hurt myself with this product.My legs won’t stop trembling. It was fine for an hour resting on it through the plastic in the afternoon so I stupidly took the plastic off and went to bed. I woke in utter agony at two in the morning after three hours sleep and now I can’t lie down on that side at all. The pressure around my sore hip seemed to be absorbed by the mattress topper but it must have been redistributed in a way that wasn’t good for me. If you are considering this to reduce painful pressure points, perhaps think again. If you don’t have musculoskeletal problems and you just want to refresh a knackered old mattress then it might be ok. It’s much firmer than memory foam, which is great, very supportive. It’s like a uk number 5 hardness mattress. But I will never touch it again and I’m just praying that the twitching and burning subsides soon.

This product has completely TRANSFORMED the comfort of my old mattress. It has exceeded my wildest expectations for the effect it might have, and I only bought the 5cm topper. It isn't as though it has made my old (latex) mattress like new, it has EXCEEDED the comfort of when my mattress was new (it seems to me). It is a really good product, and comes with a nice double-thick zipped cover. Class. I highly recommend it, but make sure your bed base is sound. I also turned my old latex mattress first... to give the topper the best possible 'foundation'. Extremely happy:-)

After putting this on top of an older mattress, there is some improvement in softness and comfort, but not a huge improvement. I wish now that I had ordered the thicker version. I was also surprised when I unzipped the cover to discover that one side of the topper is covered with a mesh fiber adhered to the foam. This side was clearly not meant to be slept on, but arrived with the wrong side up within the zippered case when it arrived. I am disappointed that the topper is not flip-able because of this to extend its life. I would not buy again.

From the research I did I concluded that Dunlop latex is probably just as comfy as the more expensive process (and it is more environmentally friendly). I bought this to go on top of a very cheap and uncomfortable sprung single mattress. It has improved the comfort hugely though it is a slightly wobbly comfort because of the springs underneath (compared to the all in one latex mattresses we have on other beds). Also while 5cm is thick enough for comfort it can ride up a little at the corners when using a tight fitted sheet (not a major issue at all but an observation).

Since our trip to Vietnam where all top hotel beds *** and above have to contain latex (they are the worlds second largest producer of rubber) I have been dissatisfied with our expensive and firm pocket sprung mattress at home. This 5 mm topper does the trick, it’s cool, and very comfortable and pressure relieving. The bed is slightly more bouncy than before but not such a problem. It seems well made so far after three weeks. I hope it lasts the 10 years it is guaranteed .

I am quite a small person and my topper already has a dip in it that does not recover through the day. The only good thing I can say is that it does not heat up like memory foam.

Bought this to soften an extra firm Dunlopillo double mattress. Does a lovely job and holds its shape. Fully latex, so antibacterial like the mattress. Should last many years. All held in place with a John Lewis cotton mattress cover. A great nights sleep.
