It came in lots of pieces, but nothing unmanageable. I put it together by myself in 30-45 minutes. Only two tools required for assembly: a Phillips head screwdriver (not included) for tightening the factory-installed screws, and an Allen wrench (included) for installing the rest of the screws. I intentionally left off one of the shorter horizontal shelves (see photo) so I could put all of my husband’s big, heavy work boots on the bottom shelf, but that did not affect the stability of the shelf whatsoever. It’s not top-notch quality or designer furniture by any means, but it gets the job done and looks nice enough, especially for the price ($40). Only 4 stars because the splinters mentioned by numerous other reviewers are definitely a problem.

This took only about 30-45 minutes to assemble. It uses a hex key and hex screws - my least favorite type - but luckily it wasn't too annoying of a task. Since this is bamboo, it's very splintery in some spots, and it seems some spots didn't take whatever stain they used - some spots are caked with stain. For a $40 shoe rack that holds A LOT of shoes I can't really complain, especially because bamboo is one of the most sustainable options for furniture. A little lower on the quality side, but still nice!

Love this shoe rack, it does what I need it to do. Taking it out of the packaging, the pieces seemed kind of flimsy but they went together well and holds up to the weight of the shoes well. My only complaint (which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5) is that the spots meant for boots (which the space was clearly marketed for) are too small to put a set of boots on. I could put a single boot on there, but it’s simply not a wide enough space to put them together which is why you can see my husbands work boots sitting to the side of the rack. All in all, I love the rack. It was easy to put together and looks much nicer than a pile of shoes on the floor. Would recommend!

We bought this for the living room and it fit perfectly next to our door. It holds a lot of shoes and we put baskets at the top shelf for mail and other random things. It holds up much better then expected.

This was the perfect height and width for our entryway, and shallow with to allow the grunt she to open. It came in a small box, and was easy to put together with the included Allen wrench--MUCH easier than most DIY furniture! The bamboo's light weight makes it easy to move around once assembled, but the slatted shelves are very sturdy for all of our shoes, boots, and umbrellas, and we put a tray on the top solid shelf for bags.

I really love this product and my family was impressed

Not very sturdy. Looks cheap, but it will do for the garage.
