It is cheap but it works.
If you buy this knowing its a simple device and reading the description by the seller its great! Works for what I bought it for. But if you think youre getting a $200 tablet for $20 youre not going to be happy.

A good grown-up version, but needs bright light
It's similar to the cheap LCD drawing tablets for kids, except the strokes are thinner, similar to an ink pen. The stroke size is controlled by the screen itself, not the writing utensil. I tried writing some text on a kid's version and on this. The kid's version is comically bold, but on this product it looks like good hand-written text. It's a little hard to see (they're not joking about using it in a well-lit area), but it's certainly usable and enjoyable. I would love to see a version with higher contrast (maybe pure white background instead of teal?), or even a backlit model one day. But I'm still glad I purchased this. Similar to a pencil, you need to use a moderate but reasonable amount of pressure to get the full stroke width. The drawable area comes very close to the edge of the product (like 2 mm), a very nice touch. The buttons feel a little cheap, but not bad. The writing experience is great. I enjoy drawing lines, math problems, or even just fine doodling. One tiny issue, the magnet is coming out of the side of the stylus. I need to glue it back in.

Perfect little notepad thing.
This is the perfect little note pad for forgetful people like myself. It's definitely cheap, but for what it is I've found it to be pretty handy. Sure the button placement isn't the best, and the stylus has nowhere to stick it (I velcro'd mine to the side of the tablet thing) but this thing is awesome. It works well for what it is, you can sit and doodle and clear it, when you get a random idea or have something you don't want to forget, just jot it down. Then when you want to clear it just push the button. It's durable, I've stepped on it I've dropped it and it's fine, I thought I'd have spots that wouldn't clear but no it keeps going. I've had it for probably 6 months now and it's cheap and effective.

Only lasts 2months
I use these LCD writing tablets for work. Unfortunately, they only last about 2 months before the "ink" starts to appear smudged and the writing becomes illegible. I bought 4 of the same brand (from 2 sellers) over the course of 6 months. I tried changing the battery and swapping out the stylus pen for a new stylus pen of the same brand. No luck. Big disappointment

NO MORE LOST NOTES ON BACKS OF ENVELOPES!
LOVE this erasable note pad. Easy to write on, easy to read in normal lighting (does not have a screen light), and easy to erase. This version is double sided, which is very helpful when you need extra writing space. It has a lock feature on the erasing feature so erroneous erasing does not occur. The pen is magnetic and attaches to the side of the notepad, though not very strongly. Significantly reduces the amount of paper used for notetaking throughout the day.

Needs bright ambient light to work.
Only works in bright light. The stylus point is quite small, so the lines it produces are very thin,I found it unworkable as a notepad next to my computer. That said, I'm 75, but I have decent eyesight, and had no problem reading the notes on the pad before (it stopped clearing easily, which is why I bought this one).Great eyesight and bright light, you may find it works well for you though.

A Great Gift ✔️
My 10-year-old daughter had left her child-level LCD tablet in a restaurant, lost for good. She was heartbroken, where doodling is important to her. I thought an adult tablet upgrade was a good idea for her twelfth birthday. It was. She was amazed at the case and the two locking features. The added case cover made her proud to tote it to school functions. She immediately expressed how much finer the writing was, and had no complaints about low light situations. We rate it as an excellent purchase. 👍

Know the limitations.
It is good for the price - and can be difficult to see. I use it as a scratch pad when working between different computer programs and telephone calls. So, recording a name or number that will immediately use it is fine. Recording any kind of detailed note needs to be transcribed which is an unnecessary duplication. It is easy to use, just be aware of the limitations.
