Prym 57203 Crochet Hook Size 7

I can use this hook quite well, considering I am not accustomed to ergonomic handles.

…I’m withholding a star, at least for now, because it’s plastic and I don’t know how long it’s going to hold up. I’m making a bunch of amigurumis for the holidays and if it survives the heavy use I’ll bump it up. For some reason, this was the only crochet hook size I didn’t already have, so I ordered it from here to get it fast versus trying to brave stores after Thanksgiving day. (The patterns I’m making call for this particular size.) It is comfortable to hold, although I prefer metal hooks with ergonomic handles. It’s weird, to me, having such a light hook.

I have all clover amour crochets hook I use at home. I needed a 4.50 and had heard good things about the prym hooks so I figured what could it hurt to try one. Well, I’m sure as heck glad I did. Smooth hook and ease of the yarn and the stitches just flow smoothly. What a big difference using the prym. I will be replacing all of my hooks now with Prym hooks. I’m sorry I waited so long.

I didn't have a size 7/4.5mm so I tried Prym. The hook is very comfortable and goes through the yarn smoothly.

The head on this hook is very nicely shaped - slim and just a little pointy. The handle is easy to hold and rotate. My only complaint is that the shaft between the head and handle is just a smidge too long for my small hand. I find myself sliding my fingers up the handle sometimes. But even so, the hook is well balanced and easy to maneuver into stitches.
