Purchased this to replace a plastic one that broke. This is much better as it has a tensile adjustment.

This tool is cast metal, which makes it feel like a heavy duty zip tie cutter. It can cut off the zip tie closer than I can by hand, and also make a tighter bundle than I could with just hand strength. Especially helpful for hand strength issues like I have. Really good for when you are making repairs and need to get the zip tie tight. I used it for fastening the blades back to my garden wind mills. No adhesive held up, but with some good UV rated zip ties the blades will stay in place forever.

I've used this a lot already end it works well and cuts the zip ties nice and flush. The adjustable tension is nice, but do wish it would allow you to go a little tighter in some occasions. Seems well made, I like that the actuating parts are metal and function well together. But all in all a good inexpensive zip tie gun, def recommend

This cable gun is great for what it is. By that I mean, for home use with a mil spec 4” 18 lb cable it tightens properly and cuts easily. For my mil spec 12” 40 lb cables, not so much, but that’s fine. It cuts but doesn’t have enough umph (technical term) to tighten. If you’re using this around the house and have a small bundle cable run, this is your cable gun. If you need more than this, you’ll have to pop for the extra dough and buy something more robust. I like it for my home use.

I had originally felt this was a 5 star worthy product. I am glad that I waited to review this tool. It worked fantastic when I first got it. I had to run wiring for lights and audio in my golf cart, and the tool worked flawlessly. Granted, trying to adjust the tension wheel is a task in its own. It definitely is not easy to adjust. Fast forward a few months, and I purchased an ATV and I needed to zip tie the wiring for the winch and the light bar. This tool doesn’t even work anymore. It will not grab the zip tie to tighten it up, much less cut it. I am using the same zip ties as before. I even tried just inserting the end piece of the zip tie into the tool without even trying to tighten around anything, and it won’t even grab it to pull the plastic tie which is just laying in my hand. I really cannot recommend this tool at all. I should have spent a little more money and got the better tool. I thought that for something I would rarely use, this would work. Save your money and frustration and look elsewhere.

This worked for a few weeks and then it stopped working. I had to buy another one. My recommendation is to buy something more durable upfront.

Talk about a time saver! Love this for crafting when I use zip ties!
