Now, I'm not one to be easily thrown off by slightly lower quality items. I've used borage oil before, which smells like chicken feet, but at least that was a more natural (at a stretch) smell. However, Everything about this sucks. The sticks STINK. Even when they're in the package. And it's not a natural stench either. It smells sort of plastic like, with a hint of chemically processed and make-you-want-to-puke. The sticks are hard, even after I've soaked them in water. When cut and used, I had to hold my breath, and afterwards I used gum to get the awful smell out. The taste is just like the smell, but not as strong. It's put me off the gum I have in my drawer now, because I chewed that gum after this dreadful stick, and the affiliation with the taste/smell of the stick is too strong. I would give negative stars if I could.

Just experience that type of chewing stick for the first time.

This has the most vile & disgusting taste - ever - a taste I have no intentions of getting use to it. It's not even 'an acquired' taste.The size is larger than a 'dental pick', dental or cocktail stick, but more the size of a normal adult toothbrush - but a toothbrush withan offensive and revulsive flavour.I'm not convinced that this is for human consumption/use.I believe somebody somewhere's making 'a killing' - literally - by passing off this animal product as fit for humans.Thank You!

Very good .i see same people complaining about smell and the stakes peeling .the smell it just wood they pack it to make it frish after you open it it will be goon nothing to worry about .about stakes peeling you have to know how to use you first you can you use it for long time it you know how cut befor you use it .

A friend of mine has been using these and I have seen the results! Two months later his teeth became super white and all the tartar was gone!These sticks need to stay damp and soft. When you open the package they dry out fast. It would be more suitable if they came with a special case to keep them moist.
