I'm usually an 8.5 to a 9, but due to the reviews warning that these boots run small, I ordered a size nine, and thank God I did, because while the size nine does fit fine in thin socks, the heavy wool socks I planned on wearing with them are a bit of a squeeze, which is unfortunate because they're lined very very thinly. The calves are very roomy, as well; I have fairly muscular legs and there's still plenty of room for me to tuck jeans in etc. so if you have very thin legs they might be unreasonably large. The material is very obviously fake but it looks less cheap than you'd expect for this amount of money and they're quite comfortable. There's basically no traction on the soles however, so be wary of that before you wear these out in the snow. I've only had them for about a week so I can't tell how they'll hold up long term, but so far there's been absolutely no visible wear or any obvious flaws in the design (no visible glue, unraveling stitches, immediate scuff marks, etc.)Basically, they're not awesome boots, but they're $30 and they're definitely worth that price. I don't think I'd buy these again ever, but I'm happy with them for now, and if you want cute cheap basic boots these are a great pick - I don't know that anything else you could get for this amount of money would be any better. And seriously, order at least half a size up if you want to fit into them and a full size up if you want thick socks.

Love these boots! I have them in tan as well. I have pretty thin calves and these are one of the only pairs of boots I can find that aren't huge and coming off my calves. I like that you can tighten the calve area with the buckle as well. They are very comfortable but I think they run big. I am usually an 8 1/2 in boots but had to get an 8 in these as the 8 1/2 slipped around on my ankle. They do have a strong chemical odor, but I aired them out and it goes away. I've had my tan ones for almost 2 years and they are still holding up very well, so I have high hopes for these ones too!

So, yes, the reviews that note the chemical smell are correct.But, no, the ones that said the boots ran small were not. As instructed by reviews and the text on the description, I went up half a size...And then bought huge, spendy gel insoles to make them fit (because I just knew, given how busy I am, that I'd take the time to send them back for the right size and the right size would be too small....)That said, they don't look expensive, but I think they look just fine. I've had them just a couple weeks and worn them most days, for work or play. Cos they look fine and are comfy (even for walking). Not a bad option :)

I was really hesitant to buy these because of some of the reviews I saw and the fact that they were $9.99 at the time but I guess I lucked out. I usually wear 8 or 8.5 and the 8.5 is a perfect fit. I can wear both thin or medium thick socks n still comfy. I would def buy again. I have smallish medium sized calfs and these are great for me. There's not really a big gap where the calf of the boot is. And it's not to snug so I can still wear leggings or skinny jeans with them. Look great as well. Bought them for when fall and winter roll around.

I got these boots in the mail today and decided to wear them to work to break them in. So far I've waltzed around in them for about 3 hours, and they're great. They do, however, have a slightly rubbery smell, but I'm thinking after wearing them a few times this will diminish. I did take other reviewers' suggestion into consideration, and ordered a half size up (I normally wear an 8, but ordered an 8.5). Thanks GOODNESS I did! They seem to fit well with just regular socks, but if you plan to wear thick socks, I'd even suggest ordering a whole size up. So far I'm loving these boots.

I am in love with these boots!!!! I was unsure about ordering boots online but I am so glad that I did!!! I usually wear a size 6-7 shoe so I ordered a size 7.5. I probably could have gotten away with a 7, but they are still really comfortable and I can wear a real thick sock so I am going to keep this size. I have thicker calves so I was a little weary about whether or not they would fit. The largest part of my calf measures 16 inches and theses fit comfortably over them. I am 5ft tall and these come to right below my knee, which is what I wanted in a boot. I will definitely be ordering the tan boots soon.

I absolutely love these boots! After being very disappointed with the price of tall combat boots at in-store retailers, I decided to try these ones out for less than $30. I have had them for about a year, and needless to say, they were a great purchase! They are stylish, and more importantly they do not hurt your feet if you are wearing them all day. I commute to college and spend long days walking around campus and whatnot, and I can wear these safely knowing my feet won't hurt half way through the day. I highly recommend these boots!

These boots are exactly what I wanted. They are inexpensive but fit great and are very comfortable. I find that tall boots often stretch out or start to slouch but these have stayed tall and beautiful. I have worn them several times and have had no problems. There is small defect in the heel of the right boot so it sinks a little, but nothing I can't handle. Great boots for the price. They are warm and very comfortable. They are a casual boot but you can pull them off with jeans or a skirt.
