Fountain Pen Case for 12 Pens Leather Black with Golden Zipper

I was disappointed totally ,it is flimsy ,does not feel like leather at all .It is perhaps Made In China.I will not recommend this product to any one.the other leather pen case for 12 fountain pens I bought while in U.S.A from Amazon in December last year is fantastic feels leather,it is Made In India.

Fountain pens are not all equal in their price or their performance and certainly not in their size. There are certain pens that will easily fit within the case but then restrict how many others and of what size or diameter the case will then allow; one such is the Lamy Safari or Vista which is of an especially bulky design. Slimmer pens, the Hero 929 for example, plus most Watermans, Parkers and Sheaffers which are similar in diameter to a pencil or slightly thicker, and any others that are similar will not present a problem. The issue is not with pens sitting side-by-side - it will accept almost any - but in filling both sides and getting the zipper to close; it is a question of combined thickness or capacity.Although, when both sides are filled fully or partially, there is a velvety separator 'page' that prevents the pens rubbing against each other but it isn't padded or resilient and especially able to absorb any impact shock etc. Any such padding would also increase the difficulties in closing the zip.If you locate your pens sensibly such that a fatter one is opposed by a slim one in the other section, you may get away with it. Have two bulkier pens in opposition and you will have a problem. A couple of these cases are owned and used and they can work as intended when used with careful placement. A few extra mm of depth would have been useful but it isn't to be. The larger 48-pen case, designed using the same principles, is less sensitive to arrangement.
