Effective wasp/fly attractor and killer

Love these. I buy the refills for the Honeypot traps. I’m very rural and have lots of flys. These have stopped flies entering the house significantly. Once warmed by the sun the bait gives off a mild rotting flesh smell. They love it and can fill the trap with 100’s of flys. I probably use 2 refills a year. Just empty the full trap following their guidance, rinse out, add the sachet and fill wit water. Normally takes about a day for the trap to start working again. Usually helped by the sun I’ve found. There is a mild unpleasant smell, so just be mindful when locating it. Also emptying can make you gag a bit if you have a sensitive nose. Would 100% recommend. I must have trapped 1,000’s over the last few years since I discovered it.

The main problem is that although it attracts wasps and hornets, after a few days the decomposing bodied attract a LOT of big blow-flies. Beer/cider seems to work a bit better but that may be the time of year (end August/early September) when the blasted bugs are after sugar. I suspect jam with some water will work too and will try that next.

Uneffective for me unfortunately 😔 had high hopes as the Zero in fly bait was absolutely amazing! Tried all three sachets at different locations around the garden and none seemed to work. Was really hoping this would be as good but alas not. 😔😔
