Pawfect!
This is such a great product. My beautiful dog of 16 and a half is suffering from pressure sores on his left leg, vet cream was just being licked off every time I applied it, so once I put this on he stopped immediately and had a swagger ! It was the funniest thing. So not only can I apply the cream and know that it will heal up, he looks and feels so much better, it seems to comfort him in some way, totally worth every penny

Sizing
Sizing description is totally inaccurate and misleading. My Staffie/Lab cross nibbles her front legs and in the hope of controlling this I ordered the large size recovery sleeve to fit 25.2 to 33.1 inches. You would expect that with my dog’s 29 inch chest measurement at least one of the press-stud settings would fit. Not the case. Even on the end press-stud there was far too much wriggle room to adequately serve its’ purpose. Nor was there provision to anchor the excess flap created by using this end one. I’m sure I would have been very pleased with the product itself had it not been for the inaccurate sizing description which has left me with something we are unable to use and out of pocket given the no returns policy.19/06/23 Additional comment. This issue has now been resolved to my total satisfaction.

Stayed on
This, as a few other reviews mentioned, the bit around the body stretched so I could only do the last two poppers. It was a little difficult to get her leg in as I was mindful of her claw, that was a good fit. But she couldn’t get it off so that for my dog is a bonus. I did measure her before I got it. She is a small bichon so extra small was right for her. Just a shame the body was a little big.

Seems like it would do a good job but not the easiest to get on.
Used this for our dog that had an opperation on his leg. He didn’t get on with a buster collar (cone of shame) and this was a good option to prevent him from licking his would.Fits well and does the job however the cuff was a little tight so getting his paw through it was tough when he had a sore leg. Plus wearing this doesn’t allow too much air to the wound to aid the healing.A good option though.

Brilliant Solution to Help Wounds Heal
Love this product. We tried bandaging Annie's leg (bandages came off), then tried the cone of shame but if even took this off for a minute, she undid all the good healing, the cone had been on for nearly two weeks at this stage, so I found this while looking for a bandage that would stay on .. 1000% better .. Annie loves this, like a second skin, she never licked or bit it, didn't try to shake it off, actually seemed to love wearing it, like a fashion accessory lol. The wound was quite near her paw but the cuff stays on and sits just above the paw, it doesn't slip down, so she can go out running without worrying about her tripping on it. It is not waterproof but when it got wet, we just dried it on the radiator for half an hour, is probably good to have a backup to alternate if washing etc as some reviewers have mentioned. I think this is a brilliant product, so comfortable, practical and it works so well without having to worry about wounds healing. I got size M, collie size, she is an older collie with a wee bit of weight on, not super skinny, this is adjustable and fitted perfectly, seems to be super comfortable, she is not bothered by it at all and she was able to have a lovely better nights sleep without a stupid cone on.

Made recovery a lot easier for dog
The good parts - meant my dog did not have to wear a ridiculously huge cone of shame, so he could move about and eat in comfort. It was easy to put on and he obviously did not find it uncomfortable as he was happy to move about in it. It fastens very securely into place with pop fasteners and velcro.Washed and dried well.Material soft like extra thick T shirt.Bad Bits - it came up large, We have a Vislar x Lab but found the XL kept slipping back from his shoulder, but a quick flip twist helped sort that out.Quite expensive for what it is, but for peace of mind overnight knowing my dog couldn't get at his stitches and could comfortably settle down to sleep overall I think it was worth it.

Fantastic
We've struggled to manage our dog after she recently had a mast cell tumor removed on her leg and neck. The plastic cone supplied by the vet sent her into a frenzy , trying to dislodge it , causing injury to her, our home and much stress. Our failure to keep the cone on her and her dislike of it meant we spent a week stressed , trying to stop her licking the wound, which was left uncovered by the vet to heal faster. The inevitable result being it was healing slower and causing more distress and lack of sleep while we slept downstairs to keep a check on her. This was such a good buy and resulted in a dramatic change. We bought a wound pad from boots to place short term over the area after cleaning with salt water and then put this on her.She is now contentedly asleepChoc Lab bought large.

I wish I had discovered this months ago
I have a dog who regularly gets hot spots and also granular lesions which he continually licks. He recently had one removed by surgery and we have had to have him in a collar , almost continually for months , because if it comes off he goes straight back to the wounds, or he manages to get around them/lose them. We have used all the vet recommended plus other remedies to stop the itching etc but he was persistent. I took delivery of this sleeve last week. The wounds have already almost dried out and completely healed and therefore less sore. He is collar free and generally freer. My only slightly negative observation is that I did measure him and ordered an extra large but it is a little too big down his leg, not a disaster and still delivering but I have just ordered a large size. He is a probably a beauceron/gsd. Rescue . I can’t recommend enough.

Lifesaver
I was beginning to despair as to what I could use to stop my dog licking a sore on his front leg. He destroyed every cone I put on him and ate the bandages out on it. . He also seemed to like the taste of bitter apple !!!!I thought he’d be the same with this and sleep and just destroy it. But I felt I had nothing to lose.He took to it immediately and never once tried to chew it.It did stretch a bit with use . Originally it was quite tight , but after a couple washed and continuous wearing it got quite loose.Sizing was accurate.

Disappointed
Disappointed with thos product. Started off not long enough in the leg so had to add to it. Then, over a few days the garment stretched to the point it was falling off even with the extra poppers to alter it. Wased in machine to tighten it up and the same thing happened. The seems are on the inside so can catch on the stitches. I still had to use the cone on my dog the majority of the time. I had hoped the sleeve would have given him more of a break from it. This garment was expensive compared to others on the market and there is a suggestion to buy two but no discount to accommodate that. I suggest you try one of the cheaper options.

I wish I had bought this sooner!
My Malamute x German Shepherd had a lump removed from his front elbow. His wound needed to be kept covered to stop him licking or scratching it - he had to have it restitched after scratching it back open. We got through numerous bandages but they all slipped down or he chewed them off. We put jumpers on him but with the hot weather we are having we had to take care that he didn’t over heat. I finally found this ‘sling of shame’ which fitted perfectly and he couldn’t get it off or get inside it for a sneaky lick. I so wish I had bought it sooner and saved us all a lot of aggravation.

Does the job but I would order a size down.
Got this for my dog after leg surgery, once his sutures came out I wanted something to make sure he didn't irritate the wound for a few days and this definitely done the trick. He wasn't happy with it going on or coming off but with some bribery meat he was fine. Didn't seem to mind it being on once it was on so seems comfortable enough.I ordered a L for a 38kg black lab and it fitted perfectly, but the sizing guide told me to order an XL so would order a size down than what you have measured.

Works so well, he can't get out of this one!
I've tried 4 different types of elbow protectors and this is by far the best. He can't wriggle out of it and he isn't constantly licking and biting at the outside of it. Only downside is it looks quite hot in this Summer weather, but that's because it's so well made. Jack is normally a "large" being a few inches taller than a collie, but I tried both M and L and the M was much better, so if you aren't sure I'd size down. The only other slight negative is that it's not as easy to get the leg on as other brands, but then again that's because it fits so well!

Care needed
When this arrived I was delighted and thought I had the solution to my Labrador licking a small wound on his front leg however if you have an obsessive ‘licker’ it won’t work. My dog licked the leg of this which lay soaking on top of the wound so I couldn’t use it. Probably ok for most dogs. It’s a good idea.

Can't comment - dog shredded it
I think that this could be a useful product, however, within about 4 minutes of me fitting it on my Labrador retriever - a voracious shredder - it was nothing more than a few stitches that were once a recovery sleeve...In short, I don't think that it is necessarily a bad product, but my dog made easy work of it...
